Illegal Immigration Explained - Profits & Poverty, Social Security & Starvation
Why the Federal Government Can't End IllegalÂ*Immigration

    (Continued from Page 3)
However, since illegal immigrant workers are here illegally, and ostensibly presented fake ID to the US employer, they will never collect Social Security benefits. "For illegal immigrants, Social Security numbers are simply a tool needed to work on this side of the border. Retirement does not enter the picture," reports the New York Times.
The Social Security Administration remains solvent in large part due to deductions taken from the paychecks of illegal immigrant workers, yet Social Security will never pay benefits to those workers. The workers pay in, but they never receive back.

Wouldn't the federal government detect fake Social Security numbers? According to that April 6, 2005 New York Times article, "Starting in the late 1980s, the social Security Administration received a flood of W-2 earnings reports with incorrect---sometimes simply fictitious---Social Security numbers. It stashed them in what it calls the 'earnings suspense file' in the hope that someday it would figure out whom they belonged to. The file has been mushrooming ever since: $189 billion worth of wages ended up recorded in the suspense file over the 1990s, two and a half times the amount of the 1980s.

In the current decade, the file is growing, on average, by more than $50 billion a year, generating $6 billion to $7 billion in Social Security tax revenue and about $1.5 billion in Medicare taxes.

...the mismatched W-2's fit like a glove on illegal immigrants' known geographic distribution and the patchwork of jobs they typically hold. An audit found that more than half of the 100 employers filing the most earnings reports with false social Security numbers from 1997 through 2001 came from just three states: California, Texas and Illinois."

As shown by this information, the federal bureaucracy clearly knows which companies employ probable illegal immigrant workers, and it even knows which workers are likely illegals.

And the government does nothing about it. Not one penalty was levied by the federal government against an employer in 2004 for hiring undocumented workers.

    SUMMARY

The equation to explain the whys of illegal immigration into the US is simple:

Add: Widespread abject poverty and starvation in Mexico after US corporations relocated their cheap-labor plants from the US-Mexico border to Asia, and after Mexican banks and telecommunications were privatized, creating dozens of instant billionaires and plunging millions into poverty.

Add: An extremely porous, under-enforced US-Mexico border.

Add: US employers anxious for more profits, and willing to exploit the poverty and fears of illegal immigrants to do so.

Add: The federal government anxious to curry favor with , and garner votes from, business owners and the Hispanic community...thus, willing to under-enforce borders and immigrations laws, and ignore illegal hiring by employers.

Add: The Social Security Administration dependent on taking in $7 billion annually of contributions from illegal immigrant workers who will never receive benefits from the system.

THE RESULT: Millions of illegal immigrants working for low wages and in poor working conditions, grateful for "scraps to fall from the US table of prosperity," per Dr. Groody.

Wealthier US businesses, and a much-richer Social Security Administration, neither which reimburse local and state authorities and taxpayers for the costs (education, health care, law enforcement and more) associated with illegal immigrants.

And a very angry US citizenry, who vilify immigrants for being here, rather than blaming the business owners who hire and exploit them, the US government which lets them enter the US and profits greatly from them, and the Mexican government which is happy to see them immigrate out of their country.

"Our nation virtually posts two sign on its southern border: 'Help Wanted: Inquire Within' and 'Do Not Trespass," says Pastor Robin Hoover of Humane Borders.

"Without the help of immigrant labor, the US economy would virtually collapse. We want and need cheap immigrant labor, but we do not want the immigrants."

Do I believe anyone who posts on this forum can experience retaliation?

    Absolutely.

When hasn't there been some consequence for expressing freedom of speech?

Throughout history, more often than not, the consequences to right a wrong have been severe.

When the attempts are successful we call these people heroes, and there are no such terms as "failed revolutionaries," but they who fail are more likely labelled "criminals"--see Harpers Ferry: http://www.wvculture.org/history/jnobrown.html

What must also be remembered is criminals are motivated by profit, not ethics or morals--they will not want anyone to speak up in any way which may cause them to lose their illegally gained profits.

Between the American corporations hiring illegals for cheaper labor, like the resort industry on South Padre Island probably does, and the illegal drug cartels, using illegals to import and distribute for them, this is many billions of dollars in illegally gained profits, and millions of co-conspiritors working together to commit said crimes.

On South Padre Island, a business owner using illegal immigrants to make a higher profit margin, will fault their critics for being jealous, because it is the wealthier business owners who spend the most on magistrate campaigne contributions, possibly bribes, and defense attorneys--law enforcement and prosecuting attorneys (also politicians relying on campaigne contributions to get elected) know this upper tier of South Padre Island Society is almost impossible to prosecute, or even investigate.

Bribery and campaigne contributions is a simple matter of accounting--which is all an exspense of conducting business--for criminals (which is what people are who hire illegal immigrants.)

Open Letter To The South Padre Island Tea Party:

If you want to take back the island, you can't stop with illegal drugs and illegal gambling--you have to bring American Citizens back to the island as the primary workforce--they will be voters.

Illegal immigrants, not only push down wages for the working class, but they also take working class votes out of the voting pool.

    Some of the criminals probably are illegals--pass an ordinance like Arizona's law and force those LAZY cops to finally do their jobs--remember when the tv reporters asked the 25 year now retired chief about the illegal casinos he never shut down--the casino workers bragged about how it was just like Vegas to the undercover reporters, with cash being paid out--I bet Jake crapped his pants--and the chief of police retired "early" shortly after that;

Wasn't that Jake also the same friend of the mayor's?

And what about all those strange Middle Easterners--isn't it mainly two brothers and a bunch of retired foreign soldiers who own what seems llike almost ALL of the retail stores--all along the Texas Coast?

Spooky if the rumors are true.

Many of their employees are from Mexico and speak very little English.

Do the right thing and pass an ordinance against hiring illegals--watch the rats jump off the ship.

I propose at our next tea party we ask ourselves, who on South Padre Island would benefit the least if immigration laws were enforced on the island.

I also think we need to ask ourselves who would benefit the least financially if marijuana were legalized in Cameron County.

Would we find 800 pounds of marijuana washing up on our shores?

Would our police be arrested by federal agents for working with foreign criminals?

Instead of all the marijuana profits being sent out of the U S A, would it not be better to pay Kansas?

What do you think Witchita? They are not stopping the illegals or the drugs down here in Cameron County. We both know it.

The South Padre Island Tea Party thinks they can stop it, but Ginsberg knew this is "bigger than Nixon."

Do you really think the SPI Tea Party has what it takes to take on those who have employed an army of illegals to maintain their fiefdoms?

They did take on the illegal gambling industry on the island and mostly stopped it--taking back the SPI Community by ambushing the mayor with a proposal for a new ordinance against illegal gambling.

Bet that was an ackward meeting, when a room full of angry citizens demands a new ordinance to force the police to enforce a Texas State Law.

And then I bet the mayor had a lot of explaining to do when he went over to Jake's for a drink.

So how many jobs do you think would become available to American Citizens if all the resturants, bars, hotels, and resorts fired all of the illegals cooking, cleaning, waiting, and building all over South Padre Island?

Everyone knew Rep. Tara Rios Ybarra was vulnerable; everyone thought her election could be a squeaker. The race had been nasty, with references to her alleged extramarital affair with a South Padre Island developer, who also donated to her campaign. But no one expected Kingsville businessman J.M. Lozano to wallop her by more than 13 percentage points, ending her career in the Legislature after one term. Lozano won despite Rios Ybarra’s best financial efforts; she outspent him by about $115,000.

    Matamoros/South Padre Island

These are popular spring break destinations but tourists aren't the only ones who like the area. So do drug dealers, and rival gang turf wars have upped the violence quotient in these two places. Keep to safe areas, especially at night, and you should be O.K.
