It starts: Ann Coulter for president 2020

Concerns that President Trump is going soft on his campaign promise to fight illegal immigration are sparking a new call for hardline columnist Ann Coulter jump into the 2020 race for president, if only to steer him back to his 2016 agenda.

The call for Coulter to run for president went public this week when a leading immigration voice blogged a memo to supporters that said Coulter “would be our best bet to pressure Trump to stop breaking his campaign promises in the remainder of his term.”

William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, noted Coulter’s concerns about Trump’s policies and said she should do more than just speak out against them.

“If Coulter truly believes Trump's failure to deliver on his Make America Great Again promises means the end of America, shouldn't she run in a last-ditch effort to save our nation from the perils she perceives and describes?” wrote Gheen.

Coulter did not respond but on Tuesday night came out swinging again against Trump, telling a New York crowd, “He’s not giving us what he promised at every single campaign stop.”

It would not be unprecedented for a columnist firebrand to take on a sitting president.

In 1992, conservative columnist Patrick J. Buchanan challenged sitting former President George H.W. Bush, tackling immigration and fiscal issues. He was especially critical of the “establishment,” a sentiment Trump used in his war on the Washington “swamp.”

Buchanan stunned Bush when he won 37 percent in the New Hampshire primary. Overall, while he did not win a state, he won 23 percent of the GOP primary vote, three million votes.

Gheen suggested that Coulter could be as popular on the campaign trail.

Plus, he said, Coulter would be a good first female president. He wrote:

Everyone knows that America is due to elect its first female president, and in 2016, Americans made it clear we do not want a socialist like Hillary Clinton to lay claim to that historical landmark in our Republic. Ann Coulter would make an excellent candidate who is willing to tell the truth as she sees it to the point of being abrasive.

If that sounds scary or problematic for you, it is exactly what Trump did to win the GOP primary and general election against astronomical odds!

The difference with Ann Coulter is that she has a history and record on these issues in her columns and books, whereas Trump had no history on these issues.

Ann Coulter was a guest on Lou Dobbs (FOX Business) this evening. She repeated her top issues, to build a wall with Mexico and to deport illegal aliens.

Do not forget MEXICO'S dirty deeds with China...allowing the Fentanyl to come into Mexico so they can DUMP it over our border. Along with the cheap steel Mexico buys from China and California buys it. Then they dump their poor and criminal elements over OUR border.

Do you think CHINA is going to "build a bridge" for Mexico to dump their unwanted trash on China? LMAO!!!

And China poisoned US soldiers during the Vietnam war with cheap Heroin to make them addicted and an ineffective fighting force against the North Vietnamese and the Viet Cong. Trump is not stupid...China is not our friend either! They rip us off!

Whatever it takes, Trump, Ann Coulter...the Good Witch of the North from the Wizard of Oz...STOP the destruction of our country by our ENEMIES around the World. We have had it!
