Asheboro Man Charged in Wreck That Killed Pedestrian

As reported by Wxii.com, an Asheboro man has been charged in a wreck that killed an 18 year old woman on Saturday evening in Asheboro. The driver, Jesus Morales, has been charged with multiple counts including DWI and driving a stolen vehicle. The victim is 18 year old Brittany Blakely. Blakely’s fiance, Christopher Clanton, was seriously injured and taken to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. For more, click here.

What a terrible wreck and our sympathies are with the victims. Obviously, it’s a terrible shame whenever a wreck like this happens.

Jesus Gonzalez Morales, 27

Jesus Gonzalez Morales, a reported 27-year-old illegal alien living in Candor, NC, has been charged with a number of felonies after he allegedly drove his vehicle off a street and into four teenagers walking along the roadside grass--killing 18-year-old Brittany Blakely.

Morales, who police say has a long criminal history, is alleged to have been driving intoxicated in a stolen Ford Explorer Saturday evening when he hit the teens--and like many cowardly illegal aliens, he then fled the scene of the accident rather than attempt to aid the victims of the alleged crime. Morales was later arrested at his apartment.

It was also reported that Morales has been charged 14 times previously for various crimes since 2004, including drunk driving assault, and others. However, at this point it appears that Morales was never turned over to ICE by North Carolina law enforcement, prosecutors, or judges.
