Suspect named in fatal hit and run in Burlington

BURLINGTON, N.C. —Police have named a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal hit and run crash Feb. 28.

Omar Orozco, 35, of Burlington, was charged Friday with felony hit and run resulting in death.

Justin Troy Holland, 23, died following a collision around 11:10 p.m. in the 2200 block of North Church Street.

Orozco was charged after a series of interviews, Burlington police said. His last known address was on Hilton Road in Burlington.

A witness told police Holland was hit by a gray, four-door, newer-model vehicle occupied by two Hispanic men. That vehicle went west on Church Street and turned into Cum Park Plaza, the witness told police.
