Americans for Legal Immigration PAC announced today that it will be endorsing Congressman Mike McIntyre for re-election due to his opposition to Amnesty for illegal aliens and in response to his opponent David Rouzer's support for amnesty for illegals.

In 2010 ALIPAC supported Ilario Pantano who also has made fighting illegal immigration a top issue. However, Pantano lost the GOP primary in 2012 to NC State Senator David Rouzer who has lobbied members of the US Congress to pass the AgJOBS Amnesty bill that would have given legal status to an estimated 600,000-800,000 illegal immigrants in America. ALIPAC fought against and played a key role in defeating David Rouzer's AgJOBS Amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Congressman Mike McIntyre has cosponsored legislation to reject all forms of Amnesty, opposes Obama's "deferred action" amnesty, attends events arranged by citizens concerned about illegal immigration, and has made border security a top campaign issue. He recently visited the US-Mexico Border to learn more about our minimally enforced border and immigration laws.

"We are happy to return our endorsement to Congressman Mike McIntyre; his opposition to any form of amnesty for illegal immigrants makes him a clear choice over David Rouzer, who supports AgJOBS Amnesty for illegals," said William Gheen. "Between now and election day, we will be asking Republicans and Independents who do not want their voices permanently silenced in future elections by illegal immigrant voters to rally to the McIntyre campaign in NC District 7."

The Republican-led NC state senate has gerrymandered NC Congressional District 7 in an attempt to remove the Amnesty opposing incumbent, Mike McIntyre, and replace him with pro-amnesty state lawmaker NC Senator David Rouzer. The district was designed to elect a Republican from Johnson County where Rouzer lives. If David Rouzer succeeds, and wins in the district that Raleigh insiders drew to elect him, the very narrow balance in Congress against amnesty will shift in favor of illegal immigrants and those who employ them.

"We hope that many of the Republicans who supported Ilario Pantano because of his strong stance against illegal immigration will follow ALIPAC's lead to vote for Mike McIntyre!" said William Gheen.

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC has many supporters in NC District 7 and will be working to reach out to Republicans and Independent voters to notify them that David Rouzer supports legislation that would eventually nullify their voices in American politics through mass amnesty and eventual voting rights for illegal immigrants.
