I just called everyone of the reps. this is what we have.

GIFFORD YES
TEAGUE YES
I got thru to 2/3 of these numbers the rest are on the fence.
If you can leave a message, leave a long drawn out message, lay the phone down if you have to. All these reps. on the fence! What's to think about!"NO!"

When they put you through to the Representive, just tell them to STAND UP FOR AMERICANS and vote NO on the Dream Act.

edit....About the toll free number above...Yes you listen to a quick recording from the opposition, but then you get put through to whomever you ask for....and it is toll free, because the lobbying group pays for it.

Is calling Congress racking up long-distance charges on your phone bill?

One interesting quirk about the U.S. Capitol is that there are no official toll-free lines to the Congressional switchboard.

That means you foot the bill most times you call the official number (202-224-3121 for the Senate; 202-224-3121 for the House) with a question or concern for your elected officials.

But toll-free lines offered by different lobbyist groups present a free alternative to calling the official Congressional numbers.

I just phoned the office of Mark Schauer. The talking head informed me that there was just too much in the bill and that it hasn't come up for a vote yet and that it's just too early for him to state which way Mr. Schauer would vote. His campaign ads promised jobs for Michigan, and he doesn't even know the vote is coming!!! AAAARGH!!!

When I called Larry Kissell's office this morning a young man answered the phone and was clueless!!!

He didn't know what the Dream Act was and had no idea what was going on!!!! After me stateing my opinion about the Dream Act, he informed me that he was "new" and "didn't know anything"!!

I have contacted Mr Kissell several times and he has always assured me he was againist amnesty but as you know a politician would never lie!!

I just spoke with Kissell's office, and the young lady seemed to be aware of the Dream Act, and she let me talk all I wanted, and was very polite. I hope the young man was listening.

I did have to give Larry Kissell's office my real name......which I did not like doing. But what the heck, this is a fight for our country.

Now I'm posting in the right place. I didn't get enough sleep and I can feel it!
