The inner edge of the crescent is an arc. If that arc is drawn out to form a circle then there is the sun. Amen-Ra the Eygptian sun god. By drawing out the complete circle working from the arc of the crescent, it extends out to the begining of the visualized picture; it is the first symbol as it is to the head of the bird. Mystics believe that the Eygptian sun god Amen-Ra was the first religion and bore the others. The circle also represents life and the birds head in the center of the circle represents birth, or pregnancy. The circle is feminine, the dot in the middle(the birds head) represents masculine seed.

Also the right angles that form the bird's wings form the outer edges of the compass, and the bird's body, the needle of the compass.

So paganism and the three religions are all represented, with paganism taking the lead.

There is more but I would have to search as some has been forgotten, yet I see significance in other spots as well.

Also, if you would hang the bird upside down by holding the tail feathers, you have the scales of divine justice.

Using the outer edges of the crescent and the wing feathers emulating from the outer arc of the crescent you have the rays of enlightenment: illumination. Sun rays.

At the link there is a picture of a stamp in the Febuary New Stamp Release area just a short scroll down the page. The stamp is titled Art Deco Bird and is right under the stamp of Ronald Reagan.

Thank You HAPPY2BME. The larger picture helps. You must have been reading my mind as I just got out the magnifying glass for closer examination.

Now with the larger image one can see the faint line in the center of the bird's body running length wise. There is the shell, or body of the scarab bettle.

Also, if one counts the number of shingles in the background, one will count seven in relief, or raised fashion, and three with faint or flat dipiction. The seven represents the rise of the Jews and three flat shingles represents the end of the age of the Gentiles.

There is still more. The tail has me perplexed a bit, yet there is something there.

Also notice that the right wing has been clipped.

    Mysticism and astrology.

There are plenty of books on dusty shelves. Not all the books read have to be something you agree with.

There is more to that statement as well HAPPY2BME, but I am still trying to learn.

Remove emotions and bias and PC (which is instilled fear) then proceed.

Ofcourse throwing the TV out the window might help.

There is a lot of symbolism out there in this world, and most often we miss it because we are so busy with our lives, and of course, not one bit of public education will teach anything that will promote independent thinking beyond what is most common. Then there is the utmost problem, a desire to ignore the elephant in the perverbial room, a corrupted system out of control.

People often discount what is on our currency (if you can call it that). However these are full of symbols.

Another way to say that could be, 'that the best kept secret is out in the open for all to see.'
