ALIPAC is issuing the following response to President Trump's announcement today that he wants to create a three year Amnesty for DACA illegal immigrants as a prelude to larger amnesties in immigration reform legislation defeated during Bush and Obama terms.
ALIPAC believe any such Amnesty deals will destroy America's borders and any border defenses by giving Democrats a permanent monopoly over US elections, government, and laws.
"Trump campaigned on ending DACA, and now he supports Amnesty for DACAs. Trump told us in his campaign that DACAs and all illegals had to go home, but now he wants to do a bipartisan immigration reform bill which we all know means Amnesty for millions of illegal aliens," declared William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. "From this point forward, we will refer to him as Amnesty Trump."
ALIPAC is also sounding the alarm that Trump lied to the American public again today when he tweeted "We stopped the last two - many are still in Mexico but can’t get through our Wall, but it takes a lot of Border Agents if there is no Wall. Not easy!" When numerous news reports, videos, and other sources indicate, Trump has allowed the vast majority of illegal alien caravan members into the USA which is causing new ones to form.
ALIPAC originally endorsed and encouraged Americans to contribute to, volunteer for, defend, and vote for candidate Donald Trump because Trump made immigration campaign promises that mirrored ALIPAC's national platform since 2004. (View)
ALIPAC dropped the endorsement last year and is now moving into full opposition mode similar to the grass roots efforts that stopped similar immigration reform and Dream Act Amnesty legislation in DC.
ALIPAC also feels that Amnesty Trump's support for immigration reform and Amnesty for DACA illegals will cost him the support he needs to win a second term in 2020 unless the Democrats nominate a very weak candidate.
Amnesty Trump will never be able to rally his base again on the level he did in 2016 now that American conservatives know President Donald Trump wants to pass Amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants.
