I'm in total agreement on the hazards of maintaining a biometric database, but does this really need to be wrapped up in the mythology of Revelation??? Seriously, it damages the organizations credibility in a serious way. I'd much rather you keep this about enforcing our laws then turning it into some kind of 'end of days' scenario... the latter is simply ridiculous.
