    Senate set to vote on in-state tuition bill By Ann E. Marimow
    Maryland state senators were poised Monday night to pass one of the most high-profile and controversial immigration bills of the General Assembly session. Under the legislation, undocumented immigrants who graduate from Maryland high schools would be eligible for in-state tuition at the state’s public colleges.

    After a tense debate last week, Senate Minority Leader Nancy Jacobs (R-Harford) said Monday that opponents would continue to raise objections to the increased costs associated with the bill and the prospect of in-state college spots going to illegal immigrants.
