Thread: Scramble the Jets! Activists needed for two campaigns!

Supporters of ALIPAC:

We need an immediate and strong response from our supporters on two important FOCUS Campaigns.


Target 1: Bank of America

ALIPAC helped lead the largest coalition effort in the history of our movement last year with over 100 Organizations supporting the boycott of Miller Brewing Company.

We established the National Illegal Immigration Boycott Coalition.

Today, we have requests going out to our allies to see if they want to launch a national boycott of Bank of America for giving bank accounts, home loans, and now credit cards to illegal aliens!

We cannot take these efforts lightly as launching a boycott of this magnitude will take a lot of work and thousands of dollars. Bank of America is the largest commercial bank in the US and the third largest corporation in the world!

Please help by taking two actions as soon as possible.

Target 2: Nashville, TN

Our national activists and many local activists have worked very hard in Nashville Tennessee where several high profile murders by illegal aliens have led to city ordinance proposals.

We were within striking range of getting several proposals passed when the Nashville Chamber of Commerce weighed in against us.

In the end, we were only able to get the most popular measure of English as the Official Language, passed.

Now, the Mayor of Nashville, Bill Purcell , has vetoed that measure saying "This ordinance does not reflect who we are in Nashville"

Apparently, Mayor Purcell is not aware that almost 90% of the American population supports English as our official language. Sounds like he is on the strings of the local Chamber of Commerce to us!

It is time for Mayor Bill Prucell's wake-up call. We need to educate him as to where the public stands on this issue.

Please help us immediately by calling his office to complain about his huge political mistake and then get on the phone to the Nashville council members to ask them to OVERIDE PURCELL'S VETO!

NEW YORK, Feb 16 (Reuters) - Bank of America Corp. (BAC.N: Quote, Profile, Research) on Friday said it awarded Chief Executive Kenneth Lewis $11.07 million of restricted stock as part of his compensation for 2006, when the No. 2 U.S. bank's profit rose 28 percent to a record.

According to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Lewis was awarded 205,493 restricted shares on Thursday, when the bank's shares closed at $53.85.

Bank of America also awarded Lewis 400,000 stock options with a $53.85 exercise price, the filing shows. Both the restricted stock and the options vest after three years.

The restricted stock award is 5 percent less than the $11.7 million that Lewis was awarded the previous year, when his overall compensation was $22 million.

Charlotte, North Carolina-based Bank of America will disclose Lewis' total compensation for 2006 later this year.

Bank of America last month said 2006 profit totaled $21.13 billion, or $4.59 per share, helped by capital markets and investment banking, investment gains and a 148 percent jump in card income following the $34.2 billion purchase of MBNA Corp.

The bank's shares rose 16 percent in 2006, topping the 13 percent increase in the Philadelphia KBW Bank Index (.BKX: Quote, Profile, Research).

In January, Citigroup Inc. (C.N: Quote, Profile, Research), the largest U.S. bank, awarded Chief Executive Charles Prince $10.69 million of restricted stock for 2006. JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM.N: Quote, Profile, Research), the No. 3 bank, awarded Chief Executive Jamie Dimon $13 million.

Bank of America also awarded restricted stock on Friday to several other executives, SEC filings show.

These include $4.28 million for global risk chief Amy Brinkley, $4.65 million for technology and services chief Barbara Desoer, $5.56 million for consumer banking chief Liam McGee, $3.87 million for wealth management chief Brian Moynihan, $4.95 million for Vice Chairman Eugene Taylor and $2.39 million for new Chief Financial Officer Joe Price.

Bank of America shares closed Friday up 20 cents at $54.05 on the New York Stock Exchange.
