    I don't think it has the slightest chance in an election year, but it will get "sympathy" votes from Latinos, I suppose, which is the whole purpose of it in the first place.

    Joe Baca is a racist...It doesn't matter to him that these illegal aliens committed a crime coming here, as long as they have the same skin color that he does. I'm tired of these hispanic racist politicians that think only hispanic illegal aliens should have special privleges!

    Thanks for posting this. I phoned my Congressmen, Patrick McHenry's staff and they were unaware of this. I e-mailed this to them and have asked for an analysis. When I hear back, I'll update.

    from your post i gather it's all progressives ? if it's going to be fair should it be a mix of our rep's ? Trancredo & Hunter are very wise in the cost of illegals ,they should be included . But that is what makes it a "Mid-Night Oil" piece of legislation . The previous poster speaks of "Election Year" that is maybe enough to kill it . Now-a-days i don't trust but a small hand full of elected officials .
