At the 1:50 point in the video, Lt Col Ralph Peters begins his interview discussing the attack on Benghazi and the response both on the ground and political decisions made during and after the event.
Peters says that, while it’s fine to get John Kerry on the record, the key people you need to get specific testimony from are Hillary Clinton and Gen. David Petraeus, recognizing that Petraeus hasn’t given testimony under oath as to his involvement in the talking points.
Peters says of the Kerry subpoena, “you do anything you can, to pry this, this Stalinist open.” He continued, “It Orwellian how this administration just lies and sticks to the lies and stonewalls and as you [Hemmer] observed, the media is often complicit with it.”



Col Peters describes the bottom line as being, “what we had, on the night it was going down, a presidential administration, the president, all the president’s men and women, in the White House, worried not about how to save those Americans on the ground in Benghazi, but putting a priority on saving the president’s campaign for reelection.”
He characterizes it as “just incredibly shameful.”
Peters says of the tepid response from the military and the White House, “The president wasn’t interested in saving American lives, he didn’t want to militarize the situation because that would call more attention to it.” He continued saying, “I mean the White House made political calls, not strategic calls, not patriotic calls.”
He then describes how, in his opinion, this is part of a pattern. He says Obama can’t make timely decisions, that he lacks courage, saying this is the first time we’ve ever had a president who’s an outright coward.
