Once again, IF this had not been a 'gun free zone' perhaps this monster would have been stopped in his tracks before killing and wounding so many.

RIGHT!! Oregon law prohibits "gun free zones" in schools, so this school can't ban guns. Was the school violating Oregon state law? If so, that school is going to be in big huge trouble, and rightly so.

It's just so sad and terrible. And it seems we never learn anything from these events and leave our kids complete helpless sheep. I don't understand the pictures of the other kids being lined up with their hands in air being inspected by cops. What is that all about??!! I do not like the looks or purpose of that, not at all, not one bit.

While you're mulling it over, here's my opinion:

I believe this story that tells of the "gun free zone" that obviously wasn't for the criminals is a poster child story for why adults in our country who do not respect the purpose and rights of the Second Amendment should not be involved in education at all on any level.

Not only were the Security Guards unarmed at this school, no student or teacher could be armed at this school, leaving the only person with a gun at this school to be the criminal with a gun and the students at the school, just fish in a barrel. Not only that but if you noticed after police got there they moved the students to some other location, make them line up, put their hands in the air and subjected them to a search, frisking, inspection in violation of their 4th Amendment rights.

I've never seen this before, where do local police get the idea that they can kidnap students, haul them on a bus to a secured detention location for the purpose of violating their 4th amendment rights?

This is outrageous! Is this how you train students to become willing victims of authority? Is this how you teach them to be sheep? Is this how you use Nazi tactics to brainwash a population to go willingly to camps and gas showers?

What's going on in our country is so foreign that's it's unrecognizable to this American. If someone showed me those pictures of the students being lined up with their hands up being frisked, searched and inspected, and asked me where this was happening, my answer would be Germany, not the United States.

And to show how misguided, lost or converted to the global authoritarians preparing to take over our country that law enforcement has become, they're kidnapping, detaining, frisking and searching 3,000 innocent students before they've even gotten an accurate death count. One minute it's 7, another it's 10, another time it's 15, they don't even know how many students have been shot or killed, who I believe were all killed in 1 one room, but they've rounded up buses and police to kidnap, transport, detain and illegally search 3,000 other students, even after knowing the killer was dead because they shot him.

You think law enforcement is still our friend? They may want to be, right up until someone on high tells them not to be. Not a one of them will risk their job or pension to protect our rights. Not one.

Watching Fox News I see pictures of all the students being marched out like they are POWs with hands in the air or behind their heads and then there are those green fatigue soldiers on site like we saw at Sandy Hook.

Those guys in green have no visible flags or insignia but are obviously military more than law enforcement. But why wear green soldier cammo in an urban conflict situation?

Who are those guys, what is their department and who is their boss?

There has to be a reason they sat on top of this guy's identity until after the daily press cycle had long expired.

What are they hiding here about Mercer? There is clearly something about the shooter they want to play down.
