Thread: 2nd Constitutional Convention to restore our Republic?

The Constitution allows 75% of states to join together and amend it, today that would be 38 states. The Federal Government is powerless to stop it. What does everyone think about a Constitutional Convention to:

A) Allow states to enforce immigration laws
B) End birthright citizenship for non-citizens
C) Make it easier to remove a sitting President who does not protect the USA from a foreign invasion
D) End campaign contributions from Corporations, Unions, etc.
E) End Executive orders
G) Revoke the 17th Amendment, thus returning the election of US Senators to State legislators
H) Anything else you can think of?

What would be the chances of getting 38 states together to do this, if we worked with the Tea Parties and other groups?

This opens up the whole constitution. It's like using a blow torch to light a candle, and you might not like what happens when the powerful do their work directly instead of the stealth approach that's being taken now--I don't trust state governments any more or less than federal. So-called immigration reform is not going to happen, especially with all this going on right now with AZ. Better to work on the election.

Nice idea, but not in this atmosphere. I am afraid that with these American hating traitors in Washington, we would not like the results.
