6 gang suspects held, charged in cocaine ring

U.S. DISTRICT COURT -- Six suspected members of the Latin Kings street gang were arrested and charged Wednesday in Aurora and Carpentersville in connection with a federal investigation of cocaine distribution in the western suburbs.

The suspects appeared in U.S. District Court in Chicago Wednesday and were ordered held without bail by U.S. Magistrate Judge Martin Denlow on felony drug and conspiracy charges.


Charged were Roman Lucio, 26, of Oswego, alleged gang leader of the Aurora faction of the Latin Kings; Antonio Torres Jr., 26, of Carpentersville, alleged gang leader of the Carpentersville faction of the Latin Kings; Liria Torres, 21, of Carpentersville; Sophia Luna, 25, of Oswego; Brian Jones, 34, of Aurora; and German Pacheco, 27, of Aurora.
