I think with Hunter and Tancredo together, the Republicans would win.

But the RNC is too stupid to see the path to success AND with MEL MARTINEZ as the head of the RNC, do you think it will happen? Heck no.

    SO, prepare for Hillary.

Being from Huckabee's home state, I can assure you he 1)is pro-big business--think Tyson's and Walmart 2)has openly supported a "path to citizenship" for all illegals in the US. He also hosted the LULAC convention in Little Rock in 2006 and was one of the ringleaders in getting the Mexican Consulate established here. 3) He publicly criticized(and otherwise tried to thwart) Arkansas legislators' attempts to pass legislation limiting benefits for illegals.

I give Huckabee credit for his ability to ooze sincerity, and I have no doubt that he firmly believes he's on a rightheous path. Having said that, he is most certainly not on our side. He won't win the nomination, regardless of his appeal. If he gains any more momentum, you can expect other conservative candidates to come out swinging on the illegal immigration issue.

Agreed. The RNC is too focused on being in the globalist corporations pocket, and futiley trying to court immigrant votes.....its a recipe for disaster for the Reps. If they would just go with their base, and stop the invasion, they would win. But their attempt to keep the Chamber of Commerce dollars, courting La Raza, and keeping cultural conservatives as their base of support will not succeed. It worked for Shrub, but the people have learned from this disaster. Patriots will sit on the sideline, or vote third party........ Like you said, Hillary '08. I also think this will splinter the party, with the Reps tough on immigration breaking away....and once 4 years of disaterous Hillary, we get some Dems to jump on board.

"Pathway to citizenship" = amnesty, perhaps "delayed amnesty," but amnesty nonethless. I will not vote for any candidate who supports this.

The way to deal with illegals in the country is by cutting off illegal jobs, non-emergency benefits etc.; in other words by attrition through enforcement.

to hell with Thompson, guy is a loser before he begins. He didn't rack in the amount of money that was projected (Maybe people see through his crap) Yet Ron Paul exceeds expectations at every fund raiser he holds, as well as straw polls, internet polls, and even Fox News after debate polls. Even though they try to claim Paul is only being supported by a few hard core fans, the numbers don't add up.

Which canidate does Big Business support? In my experience the Republican party and most of the conservative base (other than my friends here) are corporate fodder.

They just wave the flag and call people socialists and communists and the ones that will do there dirtywork are left standing.

The only thing The Republican party has going for it is Obama, Clinton, Pelosi, and Deggette. There failures in Congress make the Democrats unelectable.

We will be controlled by monied intrests for four more years. Bow to Guliani Republicans.
