Comments by House Democrat suggest the House Democratic Leadership does not intend to move forward on immigration reform for 6 years
Please Respond NOW ! Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-IL) recently told the director of an NCLR Affiliate in Illinois that the Democratic Leadership expects the Latino community to wait until the second term of a Democratic President before immigration reform can move forward. According to the Washington Times in a July 25 article:

“The congressman's statement was reported by a Hispanic activist and confirmed by Mr. Emanuel. ‘Congressman Rahm Emanuel said to me two weeks ago, there is no way this legislation is happening in the Democratic House, in the Democratic Senate, in the Democratic presidency, in the first term,’ Juan Salgado, board chairman of the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, told the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) at its annual convention last weekend.â€

Funny they don't say any thing about "Americans" here just the "Latino" communities!!!

To any members of this site as well as visitors- LaRaza is a racist group that supports the criminal invasion of illegal aliens into America. They don't care that these illegals have no respect for our country, kill Americans daily, spread diseases, harm Americans, rape American woman and molest our children, just as long as LaRaza gets its own people in here. Thats where laraza is wrong-dead wrong. Us Americans are smarter than that, and we will NOT allow illegals to invade our country!

Laraza, quit taking the easy way out by trying to take over another nation and go back home. Clean up your corupt government in Mexico. Our hands are full.

Please contact Rep. Emanuel and the Democratic Leadership in the House to make it clear that the Latino community expects a much deeper commitment to immigration reform from the leadership in the Congress. Our community cannot wait for six years; we insist on leadership now!

...I've seen reliable estimates that 70% of the latino comunity are illegal aliens. Therefore they have no legal standing and no right to make demands of any sort on any of our country's politicians, or any other segment of our institutions, economy or society.

Make sure you contract your Congressmen and the Democratic leadership to counter their overtures...tit for tat

60% of Latinos have been affected by the immigration debate? Hmmm, tells me that's the percentage of illegals here. Now why would anyone help with that.

Dear Rep. Emanuel:

As a latino Democrat I am not in favor of granting amnesty to those who ingnored our immigration laws, and now are demanding that those laws be ignored. This not the way my family immigrated to this great nation. They waited in line like evey other legal immigrant that came before. You comment about waiting two presidential terms to enact an immigration bill is a step in the right direction. We need to control our borders in order to have a secure nation. The rule of law has no party lines. This culture of corruption has been alowed in this country for far too long. Illegal employers need to be punished, just like corrupt polititians are. It would be hypocritical to ignore immigration, and employment verification laws while at the same time, naming Republican Congressmen as having a "culture of corruption".

As a registered Democrat I thank you for mentioning that the DCCC will not change our immigration laws in the next presidential term until the government shows that it can enforce the rule of law.

Dear Jerks:

We are frothing at the mouth that you would tell illegal aliens that they must wait any longer to get our papers making us legal citizens.

We came here without your permission and broke one of your most fundamental laws and had children to. Now you are telling us we have to leave becasue we crashed your borders. We are choosing to leaving our anchor children here for you to pay to take care of.

We would rather stay here and get paid to raise them ourselfs with your money and jobs but you kicked us out.

Millions of us want a pay raise on the job and then after working our tails off , when we go home after work the neigbors are just terrible. What a lousy people you Americans are to live near.

When we leave our children in your care sometimes it takes months to sneak back into your country and then we have to deal with friends and family to get our kids back without you meddling in our affairs.

It is a real pain.

Your recent immigration debates have just made a nervous wreck of some of our more paraniod members that feel as if you would really bother to find them and deport them anyway. You know , the ones that do not run over anyone or steal ID's and get caught?

We expect more then this from you. We expect you to be our leaders , not the American peoples leaders. We desirve it , Now!
