America cannot afford to five amnesty to 12-20 million pover

America cannot afford to five amnesty to 12-20 million poverty level aliens. If they are given legal citizenship they will be entitled to all the benefits of our social services, since they are low wages earners and at poverty level. They will be entitled to medicaid, (medical dental, glasses, medicine.), school breakfast and lunches, wic and state commodities, low income housing, HUD and section 8, unemployment, social security and SSI, etc.
the addition of millions poor would devastate our system. Being law ow wage earners they would pay very little in taxes. They are already a liability. We would become the largest third world country.
They would demand higher wages and compete with Americans for jobs, because business would have to pay them higher wages. Business would hire less. This would be a catastrophic mistake this country would never be able to recover from.

Shame they don't "get it". It is not an endless supply of money that is available for every error made in the history of mankind.

    That's the main argument dyehard,

but our politicians who are supposedly college graduates and doctorates fail to see a simply supply and demand market. Flooding the market with all of these poor unskilled workers creates a pyramid of sorts...

At the top you have all of these bozo politicians and a few other entreprenauers then you have what most american citizens fit into and this is your middle class americans...BUT...it's a shrinking class due to wage drag caused by all of these current illegals. Last but not least you have an enormous amount of un-skilled poor people at the bottom of the pyramid.

Sooner or later, the american economy is going to suffer tremendously it's already on the pathway with current local governments shutting down health care facilities and their public schools being bombarded with anchor babies.

    Something has to give....

I don't know...I'm poor and I don't qualify for any of that stuff. AND I don't live with 3 other families in the same house!

And another thing. If they become "legal" who is going to make sure their "dependents" actually qualify as dependents so that the proper amount of tax is taken from each paycheck? (That is for those that are working above the table.) And who will see to it that they file an income tax return? Bah! We already know...no one! I shouldn't have to be thinking about things like that already, but it looks so bleak.

Dyehard, you are correct, we cannot afford them.

These people are already getting the benefits you named however.

They get free medical care, subsidized housing, food stamps, WIC, free lunches and breakfasts at school, the whole thing already. They already get in-state tuition in some states and get preference in admission, scholarship, etc. because of their 'minority' status.

The HUD program has so many illegals with homes in the program, two HUD officials have stated if only a small percentage of the illegals default, the entire program will be in jeopardy.

So, you are correct, we cannot afford amnesty - since the healthcare system, the education system, the states, and the working Americans are broke from supporting them, now.

I am truly fearful for this country - and the working American families.

Home of the brave the reason you don’t qualify is you are honest, you don't lie about your earnings and how many adults are living in the same house. I mean if breaking the law getting here and stealing someone else’s social so you can work isn't a problem what makes you think lying to a social worker would be an issue.
It’s a way of life for these people from the time they enter the country illegally. They lie to DMV about auto insurance. The lie about finances so their kids are all on the free lunch programs at schools. They lie about being able to vote. They lie to the hospitals so they get free medical care. But they are worth the weight in gold just ask the POS we elected as president. Ask Frisk, Gordon Smith who owns Smith frozen foods in Pendleton Or. Ask Ron Wyden. They will also tell you they don’t kill people driving while intoxicated where the victim has no recourse because they have nothing.
Yup ask our representatives just what fine up standing people that they want to give amnesty to. Especially ask the drunk from Mass. Ted Kennedy He know all to well about drinking and driving and killing someone. I think that’s why he fits right in with the illegall’s that have no respect for our laws. You want a real wake up call, if your local jail lists the convicts and what they are in there for take a look, ours does. Rape, murder, drugs, assault, menacing, car theft and these are great people our elected officials want you to welcome to your neighborhood. That’s what they really mean when they say they will do the jobs Americans won’t. Ask George or maybe his brother Jeb they will make fine citizens you just don’t understand them.
The first requisite of a good citizen in this republic of ours is that he shall be able and willing to pull his own weight.
    Theodore Roosevelt
