noodle - I am concerned about your gullibility, and the dangers it could bring you. Don't believe everything a person tells you just because they are a politician, even if that person is The One.

The Democrats who wrote the Health Care bill purposely included language in the bill that mentioned one has to be "legal" to be eligible. They did this so they could claim they aren't covering illegal aliens, because they know full well the far majority of Americans don't think they should be responsible for covering citizens of foreign countries. That only makes sense, right?

Well, how would we know one's immigration status? Verification, checking documents, right? Everyone knew full well what the Dems who wrote the bill were trying to pull, so some Republicans tried, on at least two, if not three, different occasions, with different amendments, to get the Dems to include provisions that would require verification of immigration/legal status. And guess what the Dems did? You guessed it. The Dems wouldn't vote for verification, so those amendments were defeated. If we can't verify status, we will end up covering illegals.

See how simple that is? Twisted, but simple. No offense taken, but I just want to suggest next time you do a little more research before you start accusing people of things.

Oh ........ You are ignorant, we forgive you.

You know not what you speak of.

If. . . . . (lets pretend you are an Einstein,) it's NOT in there, TELL ME WHY everytime the Republicans try to put an amendment in the Bill so illegals don't get it, the Liberals vote it down?

Because it is there by omission Sharpie!

If it isn't specifically stated, they get it. GET IT???

NOW, it's your bedtime, go to bed so you can grow up and be educated some day.

    noodlehead,

They are no papers saying they are to be covered right now, are they covered, YES! THAT IS THE POINT!

It doesn't matter if there is actual writing in the bill or not, as long as they are here and they get hgurt or sick, the government requires they get treatment, so having it, or not having it in the bill makes no difference at all. NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND!

What I am saying is some republicans are using the point that it will be eliminated from the bill like we are to give them high fives or something, and the democrats are wanting high fives for putting it in the bill, when actually it makes no difference, if the government still mandates that anyone from anywhere reguardless of legal status be treated when they need it, the point is useless and is being used to rally people up on both the democrat and republican side.

The reality is the underlying problem that they refuse to address, and that is illegal immigration. As long as the illegals remian here and the borders reamain open we will always have illegal immigration because the clear evidence is the politicians of either ilk will not enforce immigration laws, if they won't do it now, they won't do it after amnesty and it will be harder to find the new illegals, they will be lost in a sea of water, and the politicians are too politically correct to profile the number of illegals we have here now, they certianly won't do it when many more come in, and all they have to do is claim they are legit citizens, then they'll pull out their government provided counterfit documents to prove it.

In other words, say hello to millions more illegals coming in.

Now, you tell me how healthcare is going to get cheaper with millions more illegals coming here to pop children out left and right while your barely paying your bills?

    TELL ME THAT!

THE BOTTOM LINE IS, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE PAY FOR IT EITHER WAY!

We all know the illegal immigration issue needs to be a part of the health care discussion. There are many people willing to publicly express their opposition on issues of rationing, paying for the bill, etc. But unfortunately, I think there are still many who are more hesitant to publicly express disagreement with reform covering illegals.

Hopefully, this will get better. Many Americans have only recently opened their eyes. But better late than never. I think they are getting more brave, and more willing to speak out publicly about issues.

    noodlehead,

Oh please tell me what line and section it can be found in the 1017 pages of that bill, where it expressly states illegal aliens are excluded from all benefits.

The only time illegal aliens are mentioned cough-cough "undocumented" aliens are mentioned is in the following location.

Page 143, Ln 3 Sec. 246, and if you believe that is preventing them from receiving any benefit from the Obamacare bill, them please explain what an "affordability credit" is and why they are not excluded from the rest of the language and benefits outlined in bill HR 3200.

3 SEC. 246. NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED
    4 ALIENS.
5 Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments
6 for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are
7 not lawfully present in the United States.

Non-resident aliens are only mentioned twice in exception clauses but they should never be confused with illegal aliens.
