D.A. King: Americans, make it clear ObamaCare debate must include illegal immigration issue

It is the last thing the leftist president and the Democrat congressional leaders wanted to happen: An actual debate, an over-informed citizenry and the August congressional break before a rushed vote on government regulated health care.

At least a month of actual public exposure to Obama’s health care legislation.

The magnitude of the detrimental effect of the planned takeover of American health care is quickly becoming apparent to even the least curious American voter.

As details of the scheme become known, the overexposure of the contents of “the health care reform billâ€

Official: Wal-Mart Wants Health Plan to Cover Illegal Aliens AUDIO

Official: Wal-Mart Wants Health Plan to Cover Illegal Aliens
Produced by Chip Mitchell on Monday, July 27, 2009

A top Wal-Mart executive visiting Chicago says the retail giant wants health-care reform to cover immigrants who lack authorization to be in the United States.

Wal-Mart broke from most other big U.S. companies last month by announcing support for requiring employers to provide a medical plan to workers. That’s a key component of President Barack Obama’s planned health-care overhaul.

Now a Wal-Mart senior vice-president says the Arkansas-based company supports something else.

Dr. John Agwunobi heads a Wal-Mart unit that includes the company’s health clinics. He spoke Sunday in Chicago on a health-care reform panel at a convention of the National Council of La Raza, a Latino civil-rights group. The moderator posed this question:

MODERATOR: What about health-care coverage for undocumented immigrants?

    Dr. Agwunobi described Wal-Mart’s position.

AGWUNOBI: We believe strongly that everyone should have access to affordable health insurance. Everyone.

Unlike the Wal-Mart executive, President Obama last week said illegal immigrants should not get coverage. The only exception, he said, is children.

Update: Wal-Mart is backpedaling on Dr. John Agwunobi’s comments. Listen to an extended version of the comments. HERE

It's so despicable that everything in this country seems to be towards benefiting illegals and the companies that hire them. Until we stop patronizing these facilities and calling out the jerks, nothing will change. In reality, voting someone out of office or affecting the bottom line (profits) is all that seems to work.

How do they justify kicking off legal immigrants completely, and letting illegals have it 100%??

While I have not read Rep. Deal's amendment, nor heard the arguments, it should have been put on the back burner until the House got done panting for their so-called vacation.
Gotta get rid of the majority of Dems, who are proving they have no idea what the crap they are doing for the American people, except bringing down the entire nation in every angle imaginable, and all in the name of political correctness.
We need Ron Paul and Jeff Sessions to lead a new party--perhaps named the Common Sense party.

The Dems & Repubs claim we need some kind of Healthcare reform.

We have the dems trying to force it down our throats, what we must understand is that both parties have been trying to ram healthcare down our throats. We now have Newt Gringrich saying that Americans would settle for a less incombering healthcare reform bill. Why do both parties simply choose to ignore why healthcare and insurance has gone up so much? There are two reasons for this, wages have been falling for the last ten years due to outsourcing and massive illegal and legal immigration, and because of globalism. So the American Peoples wages have been declining while inflation has kept going. At the same time illegal immigration has inflated the price of healthcare to where it is, it is simple laws of economics, but we hear no talk of these two problems. The problem is just the cost are to much, that is as far as they will take it, this is not a honest debate by either party. Notice how FOX shows selected bits of the town hall meetings, I'm sure many of these people are complaining about illegals getting free healthcare and driving up the cost. They never really let us hear any questions of real substance or variety. They just want to show the angry people. I really do believe people are angry though, I know I am, and there are a list of about 10 reasons.

The republicans speak of Obama's healthcare bill covering illegals like that is so very wrong, and it is, but yet they fail to bring up any cure for the problem such as enforcement of our immigration laws. The republicans want the provision of covering the illegals in the healthcare reform bill removed which will do nothing at all, what needs to be removed are the illegals themselves. We know as long as the illegals are here, whether it be provided in the healthcare reform bill or not, Americans will get suckered into paying for the healthcare they consume and all politicians know this. Both parties are coming off as disenginuos about this bill, and this is one reason why people are outraged. WE ARE TIRED OF DISTRIBUTING OUR WEALTH TO PAY FOR CRIMINALS TO HAVE BABIES AND LOWER OUR WAGES AND OUR STANDARD OF LIVING.

If the republicans want to call Obama a socialist, then why aren't they bringing the illegals up, must be because they let the illegals in on their watch? Republicans started distributing Americans wealth to the illegals and then turn around and bitch and moan about Obama's socialist agenda when they've had a socialist agenda themselves, This is a socialist as it gets! Where are the republicans at on this, or do they dare stand up for the American People and finally confront the democrats on this? Yes, it happened on the republicans watch but they can redeem themselves if they get serious about stopping illegal immigration, now is a damn good time! Just goes to show you, there is no difference in the two parties, the same hacks over and over! I will never trust either party again. I've voted constitution party the last 12 years, I will not go back to the crooks.
Unless we get those criminals & make them pay for what they have done to our country and the lawlessness they have sponsored, we are just another Mexico ourselves!

I agree with you, Chex. We have seen that many of the Republicans that are championing this fight against this healthcare bill and the over reaching of this administration are the same ones that advocate for CIR.

Karl Rove has been blasting Obama every night, but he is the one that wouldn't allow Tom Tancredo to enter the Whitehouse.

The letter John Cornyn wrote to Obama about the data gathering was great, but then he comes out and blasts Obama for delaying CIR.

Even Sarah Palin, who has been hammering away at the end of life conferences, has recently come out stating that she supports a "pathway to citizenship."

During the election, there were many of us on these boards that believed CIR would be less likely to come to fruition under Obama because Republicans would galvanize against it just to defeat anything on his agenda.

It's hard to tell if that is happening or will happen, but I do believe that many more Republicans would be on the CIR train lockstep with McCain if he were POTUS.

    health care for who?

LISTEN UP PEOPLE! How many times does he have to say it before you actually listen! Health care/insurance reform does NOT--do you hear?--NOT include health care coverage for illegal immigrants.

Now go along and do something useful with your time.
