Amnesty opponents in Congress should commission a study

Why have no opponents to amnesty in Congress commissioned a formal fiscal study, such as with the OBM, to determine how enforcement of our current immigration laws, which would trigger mass attrition and self-deportation, could potentially lower unemployment, stimulate our economy (instead of Mexico's), and increase tax revenues? It seems that this would be the most effective defense.

I think it might already exist
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

It is obvious the Obama Admin. wants Amnesty no matter what citizens want.

The fair approach would be to let the whole country vote whether to give Amnesty or not.Washington would NEVER allow that since they would not like the outcome.

It has been made very clear they do not care what "We The People" want.

Their job is to do what is best for citizens so will just ONE politician tell me how Amnesty would benefit "We The People".

During the later Bush years there was an OMB report done on the net cost of illegal immigrants. Of course the pro amnesty politicians thought they would get numbers they liked. They did not. But the actual cost to the taxpayer was not released. They said it was too difficult to calculate, but that there was a substantial net cost. Political spin.

How about Congessman Bilbray of CA to ask for another study? I would like to know how much in unfunded entitlements for social security etc would result in 20 million illegal being given amnesty.
Take a stand or all there will be left to do is to ask the last person in the country we once called America to lower the flag one last time.

Thanks, dregerk! I sent Congressman King an email. We'll see if I get any type of response, especially since I am not one of his constituents.
