Thread: Anarchists Firebomb Dutch detention center

Dear Senator Schumer,

Before you introduce legislation that will reward illegal aliens with a path to citizenship in the US please consider that a vast network of radical interests also want the same thing. The same groups that have attacked our forests in the West ( such as EarthFirst!) can also attack government facilities---in the name of their perception of justice. I can tell you from my own knowledge that the United States is the most just country in the world and we have no need of proving it further by awarding illegal immigrants with a path to US citizenship.

Recently, in California, 88,000 acres of prime wildland and forest were burned because of the illicit activities of Mexican Drug Trafficking Organizations. (DTO's) Our state uncovers dozens of marijuana growing operations in the public forests every year---so the DTO's have become well entrenched, by official report in 200 US cities. (usgov/dov.ndic) Yet here is what some of their supporters did in Rotterdam recently at a facility of the Dutch government:

In the early hours of August 23rd we sabotaged the construction of a new migrant-detention centre at the Fairoaksbaan, Rotterdam Airport in The Netherlands. We set fire to the on-site offices used by the management of the planning and construction companies responsible for the construction. All companies involved in planning, design, construction and exploitation make a profit out of the incarceration of people, ahead of their deportation. They support the repressive system that seeks to break the dignity of migrants, exploit and even murder them.
Our action is aimed at stopping the construction of Fortress Europe. It will certainly not be the last effort to break down walls and fences.
The action was planned to coincide with the start of the international No-Border Camp on the Greek island of Lesvos. We call on everyone to set fire to the systems that seek to destroy people.

Senator, these groups are awaiting the signal that the resolve of governments to maintain secured borders and humanely deal with unlawful entry are weakening. Your attempts at "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" would be a sign to them of weakening resolve. That is why such groups and their friends persistently lobby you. And they agitate non-constituents to lobby you by the thousands.

Our Nation is far from secure---despite the honorable efforts of Secretaries Clinton and Napolitano. Yes we must stop drug cartels in Mexico. But it will be a long time before the horrifically expensive task of securing the US from the ill effects of illegal immigration is over. Any amnesty of present illegal immigrants will soon swamp our social service programs with even more help seekers, due to our current policies. That, as you are aware, is what happened following the 1986 amnesty in the Reagan era.

Please don't bring any further amnesty attempts up to discussion in the US Congress.

Well put. I have been reading the articles about the many raids this year in our forests. Normally we are out and about hiking and picking huckleberries, but have some heavy concerns about doing so till they can secure our open areas for safe passage and our enjoyment, which is what they repealed the Homestead Act for.......(taking away our ability to have land to be self-sustaining on, all the while, we pay for it, then they cannot even manage it properly and we simply cannot go out without worry or crime even out there).
