    Another radio station goes "Latino and Proud"

    Clear Channel Flips Denver Top 40 To Hispanic
    “At 11 a.m. Mountain time Wedneday (April 27), Clear Channel flipped Top 40 KFMD-FM (Kiss 95.7) in Denver to “hurban” Top 40 as Mega 95.7. Using the slogan “Latino & Proud,” the latest CC Hispanic convert is targeting the Latino 18- to 34-year-old audience with a mix of Reggaeton, Spanish hip-hop and dance remixes.

    Denver-based regional vice president of programming Mike O’Connor is programming Mega 95.7 for now. The status of the Kiss airstaff is not known, and the bilingual station is currently running jockless, playing 5,000 songs in a row.”

    Yep, we lost 99.1 WHFS last year in DC. All the sudden....

    I worked in the media industry for many years and expect more format changes...if there is money to be made, the media whores will make it! They don't care about ANYTHING except money!
