Any painter recommendations for RTP, NC area?
Every painting contractor gives us the same story when we ask whether they hire illegals. "Oh, our painters have been with us for '8-12' years and we are sure they are legal. Which is hooey. Then we ask whether they speak english and they say no but they will have someone always on site that does.
So, any recommendations for contractors that dont hire illegals would be greatly appreciated. Weve been trying to find someone for 6 months. Eight years ago we didnt have any problem finding some locals that did the job for a reasonable price.

If you are a painting contractor, this is my advise:
Are you paying a livable wage ? In other words will an American who HAS to pay his medical bills and take care of his/her family BE ABLE to on what you are paying ?
If not, you can't afford to be in business and you shouldn't be. IF YOU WANT TO RUN YOUR OWN BUSINESS AND HIRE PEOPLE THEN YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PAY A LIVABLE WAGE.....OTHERWISE YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS BEING IN BUSINESS AND YOU SHOULD GO OUT AND GET A JOB IN CORPORATE AMERICA LIKE THE REST OF US HAVE TO.
My last suggestion would be to do the painting yourself.
If you are not a painting contractor and need someone to do a one time painting job, then I suggest you post a sign at a college and try to get some students who could use the money to do it......or ask around.
If it is a dangerous high place that you need painted and you NEED a painting contractor.......if you've put it off this long.....put it off some more and help to fight illegal immigration FIRST.

My friend hired a contractor and she told him that his painters better be Americans. She told him she was going to check their IDs and report him if she thought they were illegal. She was not going to allow illegals in her house because there is no way of knowing who they are. Everyone that was sent out appeared to be Americans and they spoke English. She insisted on that too.

Thanks for the ideas so far. We will check out the tuition painters site. The hirepatriots site is awesome, tho not local to where we live.

I completely agree with LegalUS. 100%
During WWII, if you couldn't run a business without hiring illegal german nationals then you weren't allowed to do business.
During the cold war if you couldn't run a business without hiring illegal russians then you weren't allowed to do business.
A real American would never knowingly hire the enemy or criminals just to make money.
This business practice has always been illegal in our country, at least until so many traitors were put in power (Clinton, BUSH, Kennedy, mcCain etc).
Go into business when you can do it LEGALLY or get a job until you can find a legal business."There's no such thing as ILLEGALalien-able rights!" REGRESO E MEXICO !
