    Cable

I just got back on site after about 45min of blank pages. I was,nt keep time, but during the downtime I down loaded " google web accelerator".
Now have a timer showing exactly how fast the pages load.

Well, I am seeing occasional instances where the page simply does not load. In these cases, I am giving up after several minutes. When I check other websites, the pages are loading in normal fashion (several seconds at most), so the problem does seem to be related to this site. As I said, it is intermittent. At the moment, pages seem to be loading more or less normally. The last serious problem was noted about half an hour ago.

Of course, as soon as I tried to post this the page slowed to a crawl again, taking more than three minutes to post. This is frustrating.

This morning I got a white page cannot be displayed error message. And several times yesterday the front page froze up and timed out.

I'm still hitting those problems too.

Daryl Jurbala is watching the site and server closely right now trying to figure out what is the best thing to do.

One thing that is happening is that some of our top activists are pumping traffic into the site.

When that happens, it will slow down the gears a bit at first.

But hey look! They have our endorsements page reads up over 11,000 already tonight!

    Time for a commercial break.

If you have Firefox you can install an extension called, Fasterfox that tweaks you browser and speeds it up. It used to make a notable difference. I'm not sure if it does with the newest version.

But any way, it puts a little information icon in the lower right hand corner that tells how long it took for the page to load.

    This one took 1.783s.
