Thread: Anyone here use NERO video editing software ?

The studio gave me a high quality dvd of my latest appearance on Fox Cavuto Show.

The bad news is, they recorded the first 20 minutes of the show and I come on about 15 mins in.

I bout this fairly expensive NERO software, but i do not know how to isolate the clip of my segment and break it off into a file I can upload to youtube.

Anyone here that can give me easy step by step on how to do that?

Mr. Gheen, if the Nero s/w works like most video editors, do this.

Open the Nero video editing software.

Click on File / Open and select the video file on the DVD.

Select and drag the file to the editing time line.

Play or fast forward to your appearance.

Use the "frame by frame" arrows to position precisely.

Select the remainder of the clip, from this point to the end.

Click on Edit / Cut and Keep Selection (or Edit / Crop ).

Play or fast forward to the end of your appearance.

Select the remainder of the clip, from this point to the end.

Click on Edit / Cut and Discard Selection (or Edit / Cut ).

Save the remainder, the clip of your appearance, to your computer. It will be of little value to save it in Hi-Res .avi or .dvx format, because YouTube uses .flv files that are 320 x 240 pixels, I think.

A vollunteer tech support "line" would be great for all groups. So when one of us has a technical question/problem, we can get a quick answer from within the movenent.

Speaking for myself, many things don't happen because I don't have the time to figure out how to do it. Many things may be simple...to someone who knows how to do it.

After this weeks battle is over perhaps this is something that could be considered.

I have made acouple of DVDs with it.

Nero will save your video in a variety of formats. I think that YouTube and MySpace can accept the Nero format, but just in case you should also save it in Real or Quicktime format.
