Issa Subpoenas More Benghazi Documents From Stonewalling State Department

Two more subpoenas have been issued by Chairman of the House Oversight Committee Darrell Issa R-CA) to the State Department following months of stonewalling and failing to get answers on the attacks that took place in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012. “After ignoring requests for months, the State Department has left no alternative but to issue subpoenas for documents relevant to our investigation,” Issa said in a statement. “State Department tactics to delay and impede accountability have exhausted the Committee’s patience. Further subpoenas may also be necessary if the Department is not forthcoming on other requests.” According to the first subpoena, it requests: All documents provided by the Department of State to the Accountability Review Board (“ARB” or “the ARB”) convened to examine the facts and circumstances surrounding the September 11-12, 2012 attacks on U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya. All documents and communications referring or relating to ARB interviews or meetings, including, but not limited to, notes or summaries prepared during and after any ARB interview or meeting. The second subpoena requests: All documents that have been made available to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform for in camera review, including, but not limited to, the approximately 25,000 pages of documents referenced in the March 29, 2013 letter from Acting Assistant Secretary Thomas B. Gibbons to House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa. Issa has already sent a subpoena for all documents related to the crafting of talking points on Benghazi to State Secretary John Kerry. State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki told reporters that the State Department may not comply with the subpoena. “The State Department has worked in good faith to meet Chairman Issa’s many demands, and his Committee has had daily access to 25,000 pages of documents since January,” responded a spokesman for Secretary of State John Kerry, Alec Gerlach. “For seven months, we’ve offered and provided access to specific documents at his request. I’m scratching my head trying to ascertain what practical value yet another Issa subpoena has in protecting our diplomats,” he continued. “It’s a jarring juxtaposition to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee which just this morning overwhelmingly passed bi-partisan Embassy Security legislation. Perhaps if the stonewalling continues, Issa should start pushing to hold John Kerry in contempt of Congress. After all, Kerry’s claims of access to documents if sort of like Attorney General Eric Holder’s claims about documents his agency provided to Issa’s committee on Fast and Furious. Remember those? Yet, Holder stonewalled and failed to provide all documents requested. Kerry seems to be doing the same thing here. House Republicans, Special Forces, veterans, and ordinary Americans like Pat Smith, whose son Sean was killed in Benghazi, have called on the House to form a select committee to probe the attack, believing the committees don’t seem to have enough power to deal with it, including Issa’s. Speaker John Boehner has said he won’t let that happen.

Is the Obama administration using the new "security threats, closing embassies across the world with travel alert statements and emails, for no other purpose than to divert attention away from the recent CNN bombshell exposing a rather large CIA presence and operation in Benghazi, Libya on 9/11/12 when a terrorist attack killed four Americans, including the US Ambassador to Libya?

That question leads to an even more concerning one: Was Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, all sacrificed to protect Obama's secret CIA weapons operation in Libya?

The mainstream media has finally caught up with the alternative media and the rest of America in acknowledging that the events surrounding the Benghazi terrorist attack, are not only suspicious but possibly criminal.

The responses from the Obama administration after the attack, special forces being told to stand down and not help the Benghazi personnel during the attack, the hiding of the survivors and witnesses from Congress who was investigating the security failures, the lies told directly to Congress in that investigation, etc...

Hillary Clinton asked "what does it matter"in reference to the administration's claim that a protest over a video caused the attack. Jay Carney in May told reporters "it was a long time ago." Obama claimed the investigation was just "political."



Last but not least, right before the CNN bombshell showing CIA operatives being intimidated into silence, Obama claimed Benghazi was a "phony scandal."

It is being described as pure intimidation, with the threat that any unauthorized CIA employee who leaks information could face the end of his or her career.

In exclusive communications obtained by CNN, one insider writes, "You don't jeopardize yourself, you jeopardize your family as well."

Another says, "You have no idea the amount of pressure being brought to bear on anyone with knowledge of this operation."

Then the coverup is acknowledged by the MSM and a day later, the huge news which took over the headlines from CNN's bombshell, is embassy closures, security threats, al-Qaeda, travel alerts and emails.

Anyone else think the timing is just a bit too coincidental?

JERUSALEM – The current al-Qaida terrorist plot against U.S. and Western targets is a direct result of U.S.-supported efforts currently underway to purge al-Qaida affiliates from the ranks of the Syrian rebels, according to informed Middle Eastern security sources.


The sources have specific knowledge of the terrorist threat that has prompted a worldwide travel alert and the closure of 22 U.S. embassies.
Those sources said the U.S. has been working with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf states to support a U.S.-armed Free Syria Army effort to cleanse al-Qaida affiliates from among the rebel ranks, including al-Nusra and other groups.


For months now the U.S. has reportedly been providing lethal support to the Syrian rebels amid widespread fears the Western weapons could fall into the hands of al-Qaida organizations known to work alongside the Free Syria Army.


Now with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad closing in on the insurgency targeting his regime, U.S. allies in the Gulf and throughout the Middle East are deeply concerned the freshly armed al-Qaida groups could turn their efforts from Assad to destabilizing the moderate Arab regimes.

Obama Hides Benghazi Survivors!

Dear Conservative Friend,

The CIA is using pure intimidation in relationship to the revelation that up to 35 CIA agents were on the ground in Benghazi during the 9-11-12 attacks on the United States Embassy.
You have to ask why is the CIA, under the leadership of President Barack Obama, making such an unprecedented effort to keep what happened and what these people were doing there, a secret!
One source revealed to CNN: “You have no idea the amount of pressure being brought to bear on anyone with knowledge of this operation.”
CNN reports there allegedly were dozens of CIA operatives on the ground during the attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Libya on September 11, 2012. CNN also reported that the spy agency is doing all within its power to conceal the involvement.
Here’s the bottom line: Some CIA operatives who were involved in the Benghazi mission have been threatened with job loss and ruined reputations and are subject to polygraphs and interviews every month since January. Why is this White House so afraid of anyone talking to Congress or the media? Why did the administration blame a video when they knew that wasn’t the cause of the attack?

The mother of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry who was killed in December, 2010 with weapons allowed to "walk across" the Mexican border into the hands of the Mexican Drug Cartel in a Justice Department approved operation known as Fast and Furious, said of the “phony” scandals: "Mr. President, come to Michigan and I will show you my son's grave…then let's have a conversation about your definition of phony scandals," says Brian's mother, Josephine Terry who is still looking for answers.
“These deaths are real. My son’s death was real. I am outraged that President Obama is talking about phony scandals when he knows all too well that my son was a victim of Operation Fast and Furious that was authorized by members of his Justice Department and a U.S. Attorney that he appointed. Operation Fast and Furious was all too real for me and my family, and it directly contributed to my son’s murder,” Agent Terry's mother said in a statement released shortly after Obama trivialized her son's killing by calling the search for the truth "phony."
Pressure from the Obama administration is unbelievable! That pressure apparently includes subjecting the agents who were on the ground during the attack to “frequent, even monthly” polygraph tests to see if they’ve been talking to either Congress or the media.
Former CIA operative and CNN analyst Robert Baer puts the number of tests in perspective. “Agency employees typically are polygraphed every three to four years. Never more than that. If somebody is being polygraphed every month, or every two months it’s called an issue polygraph, and that means that the polygraph division suspects something, or they’re looking for something, or they’re on a fishing expedition. But it’s absolutely not routine at all to be polygraphed monthly, or bi-monthly,” he added.
This past week, U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) told Greta Van Susteren on Thursday evening that the Obama administration is “changing names” of the Benghazi survivors and “creating aliases” to keep them hidden from congressional investigators and the American people. Trey Gowdy said that the administration is “dispersing them around the country” in order to keep them out of sight and coming forward.
CNN reported on Thursday that the Central Intelligence Agency was engaged in threatening CIA operatives to remain silent on Benghazi or they would be jeopardizing themselves, their jobs and their families. Additionally, Jake Tapper revealed that they were going to the extent of putting the operatives through multiple polygraph tests in order to ensure they were not communicating about Benghazi with anyone.
Rep. Gowdy charged: “Stop and think what things are most critical in getting at the truth? Talk to people with first-hand knowledge. What creates the appearance and perhaps the reality of a cover-up? Not letting us talk with people who have the most amount of information, dispersing them around the country and changing their names.”
Behind-closed-doors interviews were even conducted over the weekend.

U.S. Representative Frank Wolf (R-VA), whose district includes the CIA’s headquarters in LANGLEY, Virginia, noted that shortly after the Benghazi attack he was contacted by people closely tied to CIA operatives and other contractors who wanted to step forward. “Initially they were not afraid to come forward. They wanted the opportunity, and they wanted to be subpoenaed, because if you’re subpoenaed, it sort of protects you, you’re faced to come before Congress. Now, that’s all changed!”
In a House floor speech on July 18, Rep. Wolf revealed: “According to trusted sources that have contacted my office, many if not all of the survivors of the Benghazi attacks along with others at the Department of Defense, the CIA have been asked or directed to sign additional non-disclosure agreements about their involvement in the Benghazi attacks. Some of these new NDA’s, as they call them, I have been told were signed as recently as this summer.”
Wolf has made several requests to establish a select committee and probe conducted by intelligence committee investigators to find out what went on. Around 160 Republicans have signed on to Wolf’s request. Last week, eight Republicans also signed a letter written by Rep. Jason Chaffetz to FBI Director James Comey, requesting that he brief Congress within 30 days, because the administration’s investigation into the attacks has been “simply unacceptable.” The group wants to know why no suspects have been captured or killed.

U.S. Rep. Chaffetz was especially incensed by the reality that CNN was able to interview Ahmed Abu Khattala, the Benghazi leader of Ansar al-Sharia. Khattala admitted being at the Benghazi compound the night of the attack, but said during the interview that he has yet to be contacted by the FBI, despite the fact that he is a “person of interest,” according to officials. Chaffetz questioned: “How come the FBI isn’t doing this and yet CNN is?”
Obviously, the Obama administration continues to STONEWALL the Benghazi investigation!
Rep. Chaffetz says he had been “thwarted” by the State Department from seeing any of the Benghazi survivors, and he also alleged that one of the survivors who had been hospitalized had his “name changed” on the hospital records to prevent identification!
Rep. Wolf agrees, we believe that the frequent polygraph tests are a “form of cover-up.” Don’t you feel the same way?
Obviously, we need a special investigator and prosecutor! However, U.S. Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX). On July 27, 2013, filed a “discharge petition” that would get around the scheduled process for bills, currently controlled by Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA), and force GOP leadership to allow a House vote.
Stockman writes: “If I can get 218 Congressional Republicans to back me, a majority of the House, we will break through the D.C. stonewall and there will finally be a vote on creating the Select Committee to investigate Benghazi. “
The bottom line: SOMEONE IS LYING! The Obama administration has already demonstrated it was more than willing to orchestrate the lie about the Benghazi attack being catalyzed by an Internet video, even as the president continues to insist this scandal, as well as others plaguing his administration, are “phony.”
In short: President Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were “protecting” themselves! And John Kerry is worse than Hillary!
The families of Ambassador Stevens and others still want real answers!
Witness intimidation . . . stonewalling . . . lying. What ever happened to a transparent administration that answers to The People? These new revelations DEMAND that a Special Prosecutor dig to the very bottom of the Benghazi debacle.
Families of the dead four Americans want answers from President Obama’s supposed “PHONY” scandal!! And so do We, the People!
