Imagine how bad things have to get for most of the world to follow after him.

Sadly, this level of ignorance and lack of understanding represents the opinions of millions of Americans. Tens of thousands wouldn't be able to even find the U.S. on a world map! Then they vote and their vote ends up negatively affecting us all. I saw something on Facebook about "stupid people ruining America." I have a feeling that stupidity is a global problem now.

Anyone remember the movie "Sixth Sense"? There was that scene with John Travolta talking to the little boy, and the boy tells him, "I See Dead People."

There was a t-shirt out, spoofing that scene. It showed the 2 actors looking at each other, and the caption says,

"I see STUPID people. They're just walking around. They don't even know they're stupid. And most of them, they voted for obama."

Personally...I think it is the rhetoric of the self interests pandering to the gullibility of the self interested. This worked for Hitler and many others. Simply lie about everything then deliver nothing. And it works every time. You simply can't make any sense of it.

Sadly, I've had similar conversations with co-workers. Had to actually explain to them that welfare money comes from the taxes people pay. I had one who just thought it came from "the government." They think that "the government" is just some big pot of cash and they just seem to have no clue where it all comes from. It's REALLY true. People truly are this ignorant out there.

Another classmate of mine -- this person actually an educated woman, asked me why I didn't seek any help from "the government" for educating our special needs son. I told her I didn't need any help from "the government" to do it -- that I could afford it myself. She just automatically thought that we DESERVED help from "the government" for this. Several other co-workers had plans to just have kids and allow the kids to stay in daycares run by -- you guessed it -- The Government . .."because it would be free." La Dee Da -- no reason to pay it yourself when The Government will "cover" it!!

That's the mentality -- The Government is who you turn to for help -- not to your spouse/partner, not to your neighbor, or your extended family for any crisis in your life, or just any ordinary assistance you may need. And God forbid you actually just RELY ON YOURSELF for anything! Forget pulling yourself up by your bootstraps --that's what "the government" is there to do -- to help those who can't seem to help themsevles -- problem is, that is just about half the country nowadays and it's DEFINITELY the attitude of the New Immigrant who comes to this country and just expects the help.

Perhaps a campaign needs to be started that clarified this for the ignorant masses:
