Ending birthright citizenship is one of the biggest things our country can do to save itself from the ravages of illegal immigration. The illegal population is increasing primarily today through births to people not legally here.

I do not support leaving children with relatives in our country
. They will be second class family members, treated differently, resented by cousins, worked as slaves, sold out as prostitutes and gun and drug runners and still be eligible for benefits we don't want to pay for and can't afford, and worse, they will be dual citizens, which we don't want. When the parents leave, they leave. What happens down the road when they're 21 and can live on their own, well, we'll see what the law is then and whether or not they can come back.
That's their decision not ours.....We all have to make sacrificies....whether we like it or not.
They can't abandon a minor child in the United States with so-called "relatives". Absolutely not. When the parents leave, their children go with them.

Ditto Judy. It's really quite simple. Parents are legally responsible for any minor child under the age of 18. This means all minor anchors will be deported along with parents. There will be no option to stay.

    They must leave!
    Agreed!
Oh, change of heart I see? Good!

Of course this law will be challenged if passed. I expect the Fed. District Court to rule against it, just as it did against prop 187. It can NOT be allowed to die then. It must reach the SCOTUS! JMO

California was looking at pasing a law that would disallow benefits to children born to illegals. What ever happened to that?

The ballot initiative that would have ban California birth certificates to children of illegal aliens, thus denying them citizenship, was going to try to be on the Nov. 2010 ballot but they didn't get enough money to gather enough signatures to get it on the ballot. It is now being combined with other law changes that would cut off all benefits to all illegal aliens and their kids and they are working to get it ready for the 2012 election. Everything cost a lot of money and takes time.
    NO AMNESTY

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.
