The Border During The World Wars

How was the Mexican border protected during the World Wars? The Canadian border wasn't much of a problem because they were allies but Mexico was neutral and Germany attempted to influence it.

Curious I googled the question reur borders during world wars. The Civil Air Patrol was formed. Quite interesting actually. I do recall reading and studying something about this years ago. Too bad our spineless politicians won't engage in something like this for the drug wars occurring today.

Yes, Google the Zimmerman Telegram. In WWI Germany was trying to get Mexico on it's side, and proposed a joint invasions of the US from Mexico, in return Mexico would get the southwest back.

Mexico has never been a friend or allied with the US.

Camp Lovkett, located in rural east San Diego county was used to defend the border during the War. Here's an interesting read on it.
