Border Fence
Perhaps I'm a little pessimistic about the border fence and it's effectiveness. We see on the news every day film clips that show the illegals climbing over it or making a hole to go through, then going on their merry way. So if there was a fence along the entire border what would that accomplish? Slow them down for 5 minutes and we're going to spend billions of dollars building it? We have to stop the jobs and benifits they come for or they'll keep coming, fence or no fence. Use that money to hire more border guards and let them do what they were hired to do.

I believe a fence is useless unless it is re-enforced with military or agents. If the can dig a tunnel, climb a ladder and blast a hole in the fence it is useless. We need boots on the border ready for action. This is a fight for our freedom and our lives.

I thought it was supposed to have two barriers and the guard road in the middle to patrol it. Anyway, if our government is in charge - it would be a screw up anyway.

You're right Vic a fence only slows them down, also there are places where they need to leave holes in it so wildlife and seasonal streams can flow through. I've seen pic's of them cutting through the fence with a torch.
The fence does help but you still need feet on the ground.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

"The fence in itself is a force multiplier," Kasper said. "It allows Border Patrol agents to refocus their attention to other areas because it won't require as many Border Patrol agents to monitor a location as it would without a fence."
Here's the fence we're talking about:

I know, I'm with ya...all it is is a little obstacle course for them, then they make it and we do nothing about it once they are here, but hand them jobs, and pray to God that we don't give them amnesty on top of everything else!

Perfect Fence
I've given this Border Fence issue alot of thought, and I have shared my ideas with my Represenatives.
Here is MY IDEA:
A double fence similar to what the Minutemen are constructing,
Also along the two thousand plus mile border, Construct Windmills in small communities to generate power for the town, ranchers and ONE OF THE FENCES...
As long as we post it that the fence is Electrified, it should STOP them from climbing over.
The power generated by these Windmills would benefit these Ranchers & Towns alot. And for Border security, think of the MONEY it will save in the long run..Fewer Agents so we could put more attention on the Canadian Border. It is the Perfect solution.<div>MY eyes HAVE seen the GLORY... And that GLORY BELONGS to US... We the PEOPLE!</div>

They need to add a sticky trap under the fence, then we just pick them up, and toss them back over

The fence out here is a single wall metal fence made from old WWII landing mats and there's lots of places where they are unable to put it up and other places where it is easy to crawl under or dig under or simply put a ladder up, it does help but you still need feet on the ground out there.
You can go to the Campo minutemen website and see some pic's of it there.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
