Hunter Pledges To Build Border Fence In Six Months

Las Vegas - On Tuesday night, it wasn’t the ring of the slot machines or the glow of the neon lights that was attracting the attention at Arizona Charlie’s, a small casino a few miles off the famed Vegas Strip. Rather, it was the pledge of Duncan Hunter, a California congressman and GOP presidential hopeful, to build the 854 miles of border fence signed into law last year within six months of his election that won hearts and, quite possibly, votes of the Las Vegas crowd.

Despite a poor showing at the Iowa Straw Poll last week - Hunter placed ninth with 174 votes - the determined congressman wasted no time jumping back on the saddle and taking his message of border security to Nevada. And while Hunter may not have been the big recipient of Iowa votes, his message of border security, national sovereignty and a renewal of conservative values was warmly received by the crowd of over 100 people.

I think he was more interested in making a point than being precise on the number of illegals. No one knows the exact number, however, I'd put the number in excess of 30 million.

Although it's not mentioned above, let's not forget that he wants to tear up our trade agreement with China.

What is his stand on the war?
I like what he says. I agree to end trade with China. What the hell are we doing to the children in our country? No wonder they are so sick and hyperactive. More with learning disabilites then ever. I don't trust anything from China. Don't buy it and never will.
I also want out of NAFTA. That was a big mistake and part of the reason for the super highway. Geez, like we need those Mexican trucks on our roads. They will not have to be inspected, they will not carry insurance, they will not have to drive by the laws our truckers do. I don't want them on our roads. I've been in Mexico, I know how dangerous they are. Even Mexicans are afraid of them.
I agree with everything he said. We need to get more people awake in our country. I hear these stupid people on chat groups saying they are going to vote democratic. But they can't tell you how any candidate stands on any issue. And most have never heard of the SPP or the superhighway. I tell them to come here and educate themselves before they do something stupid at the voting booth.
