    The Bush Injustice Machine

    THE BUSH INJUSTICE MACHINE JAILS
Border Patrol Officers Ramos and Compean
By: Mark W. Lowry President of Standup 7+1, dedicated to representative democracy, rule of law and justice. 10-23-06 The BUSH INJUSTICE MACHINE is at it again. They convicted two Mexican American border patrol agents and sentenced them to 11 and 12 years in federal prison. BUSH INJUSTICE MACHINE reports they are "insuring no one is above rule of law."

Ramos and Compean's crime was shooting a known Mexican drug smuggler Aldrete-Davila once in the buttocks and failing to fill out proper forms about the shooting. The smuggler escaped apprehension after getting his van (loaded with about 800 pounds of marijuana) stuck on the American side of the border. Shots were fired and it appeared to Ramos the smuggler was pointing a gun at him and in self preservation fired back.

Smuggler Aldrete-Davila kept running and Ramos didn't know he was hit.
He escaped with no apparent injury. He may have shot himself, who knows, but later reported the injury. THE BUSH INJUSTICE MACHINE, reported the unconfirmed butt shot was inappropriate even though seven officers involved in the attempted arrest all agree with appropriateness of action taken.

The BUSH INJUSTICE MACHINE gave the smuggler immunity from conviction so they could find, the long time distinguished, Mexican American border patrol agents guilty. The jury was locked with three jurors opposed to conviction. However, other prosecutor handpicked jurors intimidated them and insisted a mistrial was not an option. Everyone had to vote in agreement. The judge refused a new trial in face of the evidence.

Mexican American Border Agents Ramos and Compean have gone from agents of the year to crooks of the year in the BUSH INJUSTICE MACHINE.

Now the poor drug smuggler, who apparently continues to ply his trade, is suing the U.S. government for $5 million in damages and violation of his civil rights.

It is time for a change in this country. It is time to quit arresting "protectors" and brave border patrol agents that face death and injury every day because THE BUSH INJUSTICE MACHINE will not seal the border or provide funds for adequate policing.

This time the BUSH INJUSTICE MACHINE has gone too far. We can no longer tolerate injustices falling on our country. If THE BUSH INJUSTICE MACHINE can railroad two distinguished Mexican American Border Patrol Officers what do you think they can do to us?

Demand that the BUSH INJUSTICE MACHINE pardon Officers Ramos and Compean now. Get bumper stickers, call and e-mail elected representatives, do not let these good officers stand alone. Let your outrage over this injustice be known.
If you remain silent, you may be next!
Bush, pardon Ramos and Compean now!
