You'll find it difficult to believe, but Arnold actually did something right today.
Alert! Schwarzenegger vetoes the California DREAM Act!
Governor Schwarzenegger has vetoed SB 1460 and the similar AB 1413. Known together as the California Dream Act, they would have diverted financial aid away from legal California residents to illegal aliens, giving greater incentive to break U.S. immigration law.
In his veto messages, Schwarzenegger said, “Unfortunately, given the precarious fiscal situation that the state faces, it would not be practical to adopt a new policy that could limit the financial aid available to students that are in California legally, in order to provide that benefit to those students who are not.â€Want to make people angry? Lie to them.
Want to make them absolutely livid? Tell 'em the truth."

But did you notice the use of the word "unfortunately"? That is Arnold's way of saying that he supports the Dream Act but that he can't sign it because it cost too much. He's not really on the right side of the issue. If the State government had the money he'd sign it.
