The latest on reports of an active shooter at a social services facility in San Bernardino, California:

8:05 p.m.

Police are serving a search warrant on a home in Redlands, California, in connection with the deadly shooting at a social services facility in neighboring San Bernardino.

City spokesman Carl Baker says Redlands police are assisting San Bernardino police in the search connected to the Wednesday morning shooting that killed at least 14 people and wounded more than a dozen others.

An Associated Press reporter watched as a half-dozen vehicles carrying helmeted police drove into the area. One officer carrying an assault rifle ordered reporters to clear the area, and an armored vehicle parked outside a row of homes.

The San Diego Tribune reports:

Riverside police dispatchers have broadcast a general advisory that the suspects involved in the shootings in San Bernardino may have fled in a black GMC Yukon, heading northbound on Waterman Avenue, roughly 40 minutes ago.
The broadcast indicated there were unconfirmed reports the suspects were male and of Middle Eastern origin, “armed with AK-47s and wearing body armor.”

The "third suspect", the runner has been detained.

May or may not actually be involved in this.

Might have just been running away from the nearby gun battle.

Horrible tragedy - Can't help but notice that the numbers are going over the top for autism. 30,000 clients from San Bernardino and Riverside counties alone. Something in America is surely going awry aside from violent killers. Food chain, water, vaccines, pollution, toxic products, drug use - take your pick.

Yes people are becoming very incompetent and the spillover from that is the increase of marginal mental handicaps: autism, aspergers, anxiety, rage. Yes, people are better educated and have access to a dizzyingly broad range of information. I.e. I think they are less likely to be cranks, i.e. people with strongly held, yet wrong, ideas. But they also have reverted to the "Organization Man" syndrome that was characteristic of mid twentieth century mentality. i.e just do what your organization wants, don't make waves, don't really question anything.

It seems that millenials know nothing about many of the groundbreaking social and psychological studies that encouraged individuality without developing a sense of disenfranchisement: i.e. Eric Hoffer, Eric Berne, Carl Jung, William Whyte. Heck, I would even put Ralph Nader in that revered lineup.
