Amen Molly! There are entire enclaves of illegal invaders in California and they are not living in the "shadows!" ICE could fill countless busses a day, for months if they wanted to, and they wouldn't even have to try!

I have the answer to most of our problems in America, especially the illegal alien problem. The answer is TERM LIMITS. When we have lifelong politicians we have people putting their reelection's before America. There has never been a democracy that has lasted more than 200 years besides America and the reason that all great democracies failed is due to polititicians working for themselves and not for the people. If we have term limits on ALL branches of government, Federal and State we can avoid these problems. The problem is is getting people elected that will vote for a constitutional ammendment to enact the limits.

I just got back from a visit to Idaho to see my Dad. The whole time I was there I felt safe. I felt like I fit in. I felt like I was with like-minded people such as myself. The IA conversation came up several times during our visit and everyone I spoke to is concerned about it.
I'd move to Idaho in a heartbeat if it was possible. That state is pristine! The rivers are gorgeous and unpolluted. The streets are not full of "day laborers" hanging around. There is no traffic. The landscape of this state has something for everyone: Desert, rolling hills, rivers, lakes, mountains, etc...
There are hispanics there, but not one time did I have to endure hearing that incessant jibberish because they had enough respect to speak English when out in public. Just yesterday, I went with a friend to a Radio Shack here in town and it was like culture shock. Besides the manager, we were the only other whites in the place and it was Spanish all around. The sales lady helping a hispanic customer was speaking spanish to him and I thought "there is no way that guy is legal if he doesn't know English."
Anyway, off my soapbox. Being a true native of this state (along with my spouse and kids) I feel like I don't fit in here anymore. Like a fish out of water. I used to be proud to say I am a Native Californian-but not anymore. Embarrased is what I feel now. I never thought I'd ever feel this way in my own home state!

08-15-2008, 01:07 PM #25SicNTiredInSoCal, I hear you. I feel the same way! It's so sad isn't it? I guess I'm fooling myself into believeing we can turn this state around. Now I'm depressed.

It's reassuring to know i'm not the Californian who feels depressed over the current conditions of California! I'm 40 years old and cannot believe the changes that have happened over the past 20+ years in this state. After the amnesty of 86, illegals begin to flood this state in hopes of cashing in on the next amnesty lottery.
Of course with lax border enforcement and judges/elected officials doing everything in their power to thwart the will of the people, (prop 187) the situation has reached a crisis level! I honestly believe the failure to pursue prop 187 in court and get that implemented was the beginning of the end for this state. Illegals in this state now walk around with a sense of entitlement and arrogance that one would have to see to believe. There are no "shadows" in California!
Who knows were this state will be in 10-20 years. I really don't know...Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

08-15-2008, 01:39 PM #27Now I REALLY feel bad. I didn't mean to bring you down. Some days are better than others for me and I guess this isn't one of them. I'm not giving up this fight.....I just wish I could keep doing it from another place....

Sometimes it just feels like NO ONE is going to help our situation. I may have the oportunity to leave this state in about a year. I never thought that I would even consider it but now I really do feel that this state is lost. It is such a beautiful place but so much of it is turning into a slum. Everywhere you go there are TONS of illegals and I'm just over it. I called the govenator's office today complaining about the lack of enforcement. I just don't think we matter anymore. Hang in there though, you just never know. Don't forget to check out walter moore who is running for mayor. He is the ONLY canidate that wants to clean up this state and get rid of the illegals. waltermooreformayor.com.
