Call NEEDED TO THESE STATES ASAP
Friends of ALIPAC,
With the Supreme Court victory for our efforts to stop businesses from employing illegal aliens adding wind to our sails, please help us with targeted volunteer calls this week to add to our victory list!
We have won big in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and Indiana and we are close in several other states!
Today, please help us make calls to the state house lawmakers in Pennsylvania and Louisiana.
We need ALIPAC supporters from all 50 states to focus their efforts on these two states today.
Pennsylvania State House Reps
http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/leg ... _alpha.cfm
Call and write all state house members to say, "I'm calling to ask Representative ______ to please support and pass SB 637 to require employers to stop hiring illegal aliens. We need employers using the E-Verify system to assure they are no longer hiring illegal aliens."
Louisiana State House Reps
http://www.legis.state.la.us/bios.htm
Call and write all state house members to say "I'm calling to ask Representative ______ to please support and pass SB 66 to require employers to stop hiring illegal aliens. We need employers using the E-Verify system to assure they are no longer hiring illegal aliens."
Our ALIPAC supporters in these two states need to swing into high gear on the phones today while our activists from other states come to their aid.
We have a strong chance of adding two more states to our victory list and national momentum if you take dedicated action today.
Please make these calls quickly as a new request to help another state is coming Tuesday morning.
Comments, questions, suggestions, feedback, and reports on this effort in Pennsylvania and Louisiana at this link please....

PS: We are still $1,000 short of reaching our 5k fund raising level to meet our operations budget obligations by tomorrow (Tuesday) night. Please help us continue the fight by making a donation of any amount at this link as soon as possible....

I live in Texas. Thanks for making it easy to find the appropriate contacts to call. I have made around 15 calls already, drawing attention to the FAIR report on Immigration Low wage earners and poverty . Surprisingly my calls have been well received, not being a constituent, and they have listened and said they will pass my views along. I have made a point of telling them since I do live in Texas I have personally seen the devestation wrought on wages, education and social services provided by the State.

Friends of ALIPAC,
With your help, Oregon's state Senate bill 742 has been defeated, closing the door this year on in-state tuition for illegal aliens! Big high five to our allies at Oregonians for Immigration Reform (OFIR) for their outstanding work against this bill.
In North Carolina, your calls and emails flooded offices as William Gheen of ALIPAC, Ron Woodard of NC Listen, and James Johnson of NCFIRE moved office to office in the NC General Assembly with about ten volunteer activists.
The results? House Bill 36 (E-verify) passed the house on second reading by a large margin of 75-43! In the Senate Judiciary II Committee, SB 205 (Stop Illegals from getting welfare) bill passed by unanimous approval and heads to the Senate floor!
We are not out of the woods yet in North Carolina as Thursday is the dreaded 'Crossover Deadline' and these bills must pass one chamber by Thursday night or they die for the year. With more great news from the US Supreme Court this week, our legislation to stop illegal alien sanctuary cities is on the move again in Texas!
Please push hard today and Thursday in North Carolina and Texas! We need ALIPAC activists from all states focused on these two.
Step 1: HB 36 does not need your help in the NC House, but SB 205 does need your help in the full Senate. Please call and write all members of the NC Senate with your own distinct version of our sample message.
Sample Message
"Senator ________: I am calling/writing to ask you to please support Senator Allran's wonderful bill SB 205 which would stop illegal aliens from stealing millions of dollars of public benefits from NC and federal taxpayers. SB 205 passed the Judiciary II committee on Tuesday with bipartisan and unanimous support! Polling information from North Carolina provided by the Civitas Institute shows that approximately 80% of your constituents support the measures in this bill which stop illegal aliens from getting taxpayer benefits. Please support and pass SB 205 before the crossover deadline on Thursday."

Step 2: Shut Down Sanctuary Cities in Texas
Call and write all members of the Texas legislature with the following messages...
"I'm calling/writing to ask you to pass legislation immediately to stop all sanctuary cities, like Houston, from protecting illegal aliens. I am sick and tired of reading about all of the Americans who are murdered by illegal aliens who freely pass in and out of local city jails in Texas until innocent people are killed. When illegal aliens are arrested for other crimes, they should be detained and deported, not allowed to remain in the US to victimize more people."

Please spend as much time as possible Wednesday and Thursday of this week calling and writing to lawmakers in Texas and North Carolina!
Our momentum and victory lists are growing due to your support!

PS: Thank you to all who helped us raise 5k to meet our obligations for June. While we have reached that level, our account funds are still dangerously low. Please take a few minutes to visit our secure online donations page to donate online or by mail. Donations of every amount will help....

Gov. Perry Adds Congressional Redistricting to Special Session Call
Gov. Rick Perry announced the addition of legislation relating to the abolishment of sanctuary cities, the use of the federal Secure Communities program by law enforcement agencies, and the issuance of driver's licenses and personal identification certificates to the special session call.
"Texas owes it to the brave law enforcement officials, who put their lives on the line every day to protect our families and communities, to give them the discretion they need to adequately do their jobs," Gov. Perry said. "Abolishing sanctuary cities in Texas, using the federal Secure Communities program and ensuring that only individuals who are here legally can obtain a valid Texas driver's license sends a clear message that Texas will not turn a blind eye to those breaking our laws."
By addressing sanctuary cities in this special session, lawmakers will help empower officers to apply their training, experience and judgment to enforcing the laws by keeping municipalities from tying their hands.
Additional items the governor has previously asked the Legislature to consider during the special session are:
• Legislation relating to fiscal matters necessary for the implementation of House Bill No. 1 as passed by the 82nd Legislature, Regular Session, including measures that will allow school districts to operate more efficiently.
• Legislation relating to healthcare cost containment, access to services through managed care, and the creation of economic and structural incentives to improve the quality of Medicaid services.
• Legislation relating to congressional redistricting.
• Legislation relating to the operation of the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association.

The E Verify bill as well as Sanctuary bill have been added to what was originally SB9 which was a seperate bill that dealt with Homeland security issues. All three have been combined into one bill SB9 for the special session. Craig Estes office confirms this is the case. This should pass , SB9 origianlly passed the senate easily and since rules have been suspended it will only require a simple majority rather than a 2/3 vote.
