    (quote)

Can’t deport millions of illegal aliens? Wrong — it’s been done

In the minds of most people the problem of deporting several million illegal aliens may seem like a formidable, if not impossible, task.

As a retired U.S. Customs agent, I am aware of a program in 1954 in which President Dwight Eisenhower deported millions of Mexican nationals. The program was called “Operation Wetbackâ€

Yes, we really do need another operation W.B. Ice can conduct mass raids by surprise, then have mass deportations. Also, build the high tech wall to prevent them from coming back in.

I am so sick of people saying we cannot do it. Yes we can do it, our leaders REFUSE to do it, there is a huge difference. As it has been said before, we are the United States of America darn it, we can do ANYTHING.

Every morning I awaken from my sleep and open the local paper, fully expecting to see this or something similar as the headline story:

Operation Vanish Illegal commences; hundreds of thousands rounded up overnight

Oops, sorry that's the dream I'm having right before I awaken.

Personally GeorgiaPeach, I think our government is lying to us about the numbers of illegal immigrants. I don't think 12 million is even close. Some studies say 20 million.

The problem w/deportation as a means to controlling immigration is that it's just a revolving door. The borders are so porous they just come back.

The United States Government Accountability Office estimates that “between 400,000 and 700,000 illegal immigrants have entered the United States each year since 1992.â€

Yes, Sam-I-am, I too believe there are upwards of 20 million or more. If enforcement would just start in each of the targeted areas, then departure would begin voluntarily by illegal aliens who would start to leave, afraid of jail and prison sentences due to flagrant lawbreaking (crossing the border, identity theft, fraud, employment, etc.). Employers would be in fear also.

They have little if any fear now that anything is going to happen. They believe the law is on their side, and currently it seems twisted to that reality.

We don't even need to use buses or planes(so that should save tax payers boatloads of money)because WE didn't "round them up" and import them, they came on their own two feet ,they'll leave that way too.We just need the government to enforce the laws.Look how they are already leaving GA because of the crackdown. It seems the slightest enforcement makes them uncomfortable.
Its that easy, why won't our government just do it?

Really I think if the US gov't made an announcement(just an announcement) that all non-emergency services were going to be cut off we would see neighborhoods/areas emptying like crazy.
