Take Action ALERT! Ask your Senators to pass E-Verify this week!
The E-Verify program will expire in March if the Senate does not reauthorize it. Congress is in session this week to consider the auto bailout so we must use the opportunity to attach E- verify to the bailout bill.

Make your Senators see the connection: Americans are losing jobs; the auto bill is about saving American jobs; E-Verify is about saving American jobs.

The E-Verify bill, HR 6633, passed the House last summer by a 407-2 vote. The bill would extend the voluntary E-Verify program for 5 years.

The Senate extended E-Verify only until March. When it comes up for renewal, proponents of massive immigration will attempt to tie it to amnesty and guestworker programs. If we can pass it now, we can lock in a clean version.

Please ask your Senators to introduce HR 6633 as an amendment to the auto bill. Send a fax or an e-mail by entering your ZIP Code and clicking "Go!" below. You can also call your Senators at the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121.

Just sent, with a few golden words about preferring my tax dollars not go to feeding, clothing, educating and providing healthcare for people who should not be here in the first place.

Just sent the fax to both of my Senators. One is on the way out, unfortunately. This would be a good parting shot.
