The above is an excerpt from an earlier JD2 post. Seems we are already handling large numbers of asylum request on a daily basis. Makes me wonder why the caravan is such a big deal when it seems we're already receiving large groups at our port of entries on a daily basis as we speak. What's happening with the large groups already coming in before the caravans even arrive? Are they being accepted and then released into our interior? There are still a lot of question on what is actually going on at the border in my opinion.

I can't help but think while all the attention is being focused on the "caravans" we're still accepting large numbers of asylum seekers at our port of entries on a daily basis.

The United States also grants humanitarian protection to asylum seekers who present themselves at U.S. ports of entry or claim asylum from within the country; in FY 2015 (the most recent data available), the United States granted asylum to 26,124 individuals.

If they are already in the country, they are illegal aliens. Illegal aliens should never get anything, nada, zip, zero! As for the others, seems it has already been established that many of them probably weren't entitled. Obama's administration was very lax ... I just hope the Trump administration is tightening the loop and doing a better job of vetting.

The asylum laws were passed in 1990 during the Bush I Administration and expanded during subsequent years. They all need to be repealed immediately by the US Congress. There should be no asylum into the US to escape natural disasters, these people need to stay in the country and go to work cleaning up the mess and rebuilding their country; civil wars are started by the people who then flee the disaster they caused creating an excuse to enter the United States; all nations have crime, gangs and corruption, it is the responsibility of the people of these countries to either deal with it or fix it. These people aren't our problem, because they are not our responsibility.

Make an announcement that they WILL all be deported when caught!

Sell out, pack up and go home!

Final 150 Central Americans In Caravan Arrive In Tijuana

I was eating dinner in the kitchen with Fox News on in the living room. Sounds like I heard they were currently releasing women and children asylum seekers inside the United States because they didn't have the space to hold them. Can anyone verify that the asylum seekers at the border are being released inside the United States before their cases have been heard?
