CAVUTO: With William Gheen and Rebecca Gomez
Why is it that these pro-immigration types don't have any substance for their "debate"?? Rebecca Gomez opened by stating that illegal "immigrants" were good for the US economy and our proof was with the increase of the GDP.

Subject: Illegal Aliens are NOT GOOD for the Economy!
Rebecca Gomez should have researched this topic before the segment with William Gheen. She, like other pro-immigration open-border supporters, argue that the S.1348 Bill is good for the U.S. economy. While it is true that low-skill illegal aliens enlarge the GDP, the increase in GDP that is attributed to the illegal aliens in the U.S. workforce is small.
What is not stated with this argument is that the illegal aliens themselves capture most of the GDP gain directly through their own wages. In fact, their wages are low enough that the low-skill illegal aliens have negatively affected the net tax burden. An example that has been used to illustrate this: If the average illegal immigrant earns, 30%t of what Americans make, the share of GDP attributable to these workers would be a mere 1.5% (5.0 % times 30 %).
Next time, provide some REAL statistics for the majority of Americans who know better."The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be, secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them." Patrick Henry

Make the illegal aliens leave and the price of everything will go down.
Supply and demand. They are consummers.
Face it, illegal aliens are only good for business because of cheep wages (public paid benefits) and more people to sell crap to.
Pay less, get more. As a taxpayer, I want to pay less and keep more.

There have been several bonafide studies that correlate the "invasion" of illegals to workplace wages being depressed. Basic economic theory of supply and demand.
Many illegals will work for less money because they are actually living below-standards for America. They are not consuming in the way that Americans consume -- and many send money "home" -- to the tune of billions of $$ each year. Many illegals do not live as Americans do, they are living with 5-10-15 people per household. Occupants in the household are oftentimes not related, either. Living in crowded conditions and sharing 1 car per 4-6 working men shows they are sharing resources, dividing up the cost of living between people, not contributing much to the consumer portion of our "economy."The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be, secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them." Okay, they are living 15-20 in a house that I am aware of and they travel in one van back and forth to work.Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Facts according to the Heritage Foundation:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=4AzQDk7vz4g
A:Cost of each Illegal Alien to the Taxpayer
1.Yearly: $22,000!
2.Lifetime: almost 1 Million Dollars!!
This does not include Illegal Aleins sending 30 Billion Dollars abroad to such Countries as Mexico, El Salvador, Etc.
This does not include Unemployment Benefits having to be paid to american workers displaced by cheaper Illegal alien labor.
and i could go on and on. the end result is they do not benefit the American Economy but add to the overall Deficit.“In questions of power…let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.” –Thomas Jefferson

Rebecca Gomez was pathetic. Actually, she is a very attractive lady but that in no way makes up for her pathetic arguement. Her logic was, "Well, the governement and the business sector tells us that the economy is good so therefore illegal aliens must be good for the economy and good for America."
Excuse me while I go outside and bang my head repeatidly into a brick wall. Then maybe I'll think more like her.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Pardon Me, but the illegal aliens are not good for our neighborhoods, cities and towns. They bring gangs, more drugs, human trafficking, murder, increased DUI's, overcrowded homes, schools, jails, etc. It is not as if you USE the people and then sit them on a shelf.
THEY ARE DESTROYING OUR NATION AND WE ARE BEING TOLD TO PAY FOR THE DESTRUCTION AND LIKE IT.

Transcription of Segment
(previous segment leading into this...)
Neil: The White House, meanwhile, issuing a new report saying immigration both legal and illegal has a positive effect on the American economy. And even on wages, with only a small group negatively impacted, part of a push to get that Senate Immigration Bill passed. Bill Gheen says, "You gotta be kidding". He's Founder of Americans for Legal Immigration, but Rebecca Gomez disagrees. How so, Rebecca?
Rebecca: Well, Neil, with any of these debates, of course, Bill and I are gonna throw out all these figures, all these statistics, and of course as we know, numbers can be manipulated. But what you cannot argue with is the state of the American economy right now with 12 million illegal immigrants in this country. Look at GDP, the best measure of our economy -- it's growing every quarter and this is because of .. [Rebecca interrupted by Neil]
Neil: So that is because of illegals?
Rebecca: Well, partly because. Because GDP is our goods and services that are put out every quarter and goods and services are .. [Rebecca interrupted by Neil]
Neil: So you say we should be pushing for illegals?
Rebecca: Because businesses have the workers to put out goods and services to employ people.
Neil: Alright, Bill, what do you think of that?
William: First, I don't think many people believe any thing this lying puppet of big business in the White House says any more. Second, I think this report calls illegal aliens "immigrants" which is an insult to immigrants, and incorrect. It also calls Americans "natives". "No sir, Mr. President, we are Americans." Thirdly, sure you can grow your economy some through open borders as this President has done but you could also grow the economy by legalizing drugs, legalizing prostitution, reinstating slavery. They're all against the law. The American public is against them all. And this is the equivalent of economically burning your house to stay warm in winter.
Neil: What do you think of that, Rebecca?
Rebecca, No, I mean, regardless of the terminology, I mean people argue over calling people from South America Hispanics or Latinos doesn't matter. What matters is the market forces. I mean the reason we have inflation so low right now is because we have these immigrants here to bring prices down.
Neil: But do legal immigrants feel the same? Because I've talked to some who don't share your zeal in the Hispanic community, and they say, "No they ruin it for all of us."
Rebecca: Sure, they may feel slighted because they went through a long process but we're just talking about the economic impact of it, and it is good.
Neil: And you're saying it's good? And, William, the bottom line is that the Administration is saying that you empower that by trying to jeopardize that?
William: The bottom line is that this President is trying to save a Bill with less than 20% support, according to Rasmussen. And the bottom line is that if this Bill passes and, God forbid, this President signs it into law, it will signal to millions of Americans that the will of the American people no longer matter on their own government because when we can't get our own existing laws enforced, Bush won't enforce then he has, in effect, nullified all of the elections and all of the deliberations of Congress.

Wow..Rebecca is pathetic!
I would be embarrassed by her stance on that interview.
Her responses will only further anger and bring more people to our side to fight this.
