Thread: Chertoff is an easy read!

I'll save you the details of an article that was in my local paper today, but I did want to bring the following to your attention:

Excerpt:

Chertoff said the raids at plants in six states highlighted a need for a guest worker program, which would cut down on the demand for illegal documents.

Does Chertoff actually believe we're not intelligent enough to see through such a ridiculous and illogical statement? In White House spokesman Tony Snow's words, this is just nonsensical! Heck, why don't we just make all crack, herione, and LSD legal, that would certainly reduce the need for DEA agents, thus saving the the federal government a ton of money. Better yet, why not make drinking and driving legal. Just think of how much money we could save in court and law enforcement costs. See how ridiculous that sounds! Both of those ideas completely ignore the value of life and the human tragedies suffered because of drug and alcohol abuse. I would submit that Chertoff's idea completely ignores the financial needs of working class American citizens! Furthermore, he's proposing an amnesty for illegal behavior with a cure that doesn't fit the illness. A massive guest worker program at this point, such as Cheroff supports, would be the same as giving amnesty to all those that have criminally munipulated our judicial system (businesses and illegals).

Secretary Chertoff is not very crafty when it comes to deceiving the American people. He is constantly opening his mouth and inserting his big feet. The Bush agenda would probably be better served if Chertoff would just keep his oral orifice zippend. The man can be read like an elementary level book.

Maybe we should start donating cars to car thieves.

Chertoff is a puppet of this incompetant sell out administration, They believe that the American people are just stupid. A Couple of raids, signing a 700 miles fence bill that will never actualy get built, and then..... they think.. well we will fall for their scam and give them the go ahead with their plan to destroy our country by giving amnesty and flooding the country with more indentity thief illegals. Chertoff in his press conferance yesterday went out of his way to say that this raid was not about immigration but about identity theft. Our country in ran by a bunch of puppets and sell out...

Evidently, he said the United States CANNOT control the border - therefore we need a guest worker program.

Now just how does making them legal do anything to protect the border?

People need to dissect the garbage that is coming out here. There is no connection between giving them amnesty and controlling the border. The amnesty of the 80's taught us that.

Why don't reporters ask questions?

I guess the HOllywood break ups, DUI's and so forth are much more important to our nation than national security.

You're right, it doesn't. Placing illegal immigrants on a path to legalization will only encourage more to ignore our immigration laws, which will place more pressure on our border.

If we start seeing the management that hires these criminals get arrested maybe we will see them a little more concerned about our labor laws.

Great point, JAK. We need a DHS Secretary with the spirit of a true American - one that exudes the "can do" attitude Americans are known for! Secretary Chertoff is a whinny baby with a defeatist attitude.
