It's the Republican's fault. There is a lot of support "outside these chambers" but the problem lies within this Senate chamber.
He said he gave "quite a bit of time" that was extended to introduce amendments. 42 were considered and there were 28 roll calls. He thought more amendments would move after invoking no on cloture earlier in the day.

He tried very hard to pass amendments but his "friends on the other side" objected.

There are ways we can do this in the next several weeks.

Everyone is happy. They didn't have to pass the bill; each side can blame the other side and nobody loses the Hispanic vote. They're all great Americans.

Well, we need to watch Harry really close. If it even looks like he's going to bring it up again, we can start hammering away at them again. In the meantime, I think we should press like hell to get enforcement.
