FREE TRADE is a misnomer when the 'trade' is with a country that is NOT free. One cannot trade 'freely' with government/dicator owned entities.

This is not Capitalism, they're monopolies accruing the world's capital in one of a very few places.

This is a serious question - what do we do about it?

Personally, this is no surprise to me - it doesn't help my heartburn, though.

At what point will it sink in that we have no, or almost no, friends in Washington. Not only do we, the people and America, have no friends, we don't even have representation.

You're certainly preaching to the choir regarding term limits. We need new blood in the Senate and quick! How would citizens as a group push for term limits?
