You know, it's funny how they bring up leaving their children they have in the US behind. What about their children they left behind in Mexico, El Salvador, Peru and other countries? There is an office cleaning woman from El Salvador who has been in the US (I'm almost sure she's illegal -- can't speak a word of English) for six years who told another person (who speaks spanish) in the office, that she has four children in El Salvador that she hasn't seen for 6 years. How the children cry and beg to come to the US to be with their mother. They make a choice to leave their children behind when they come to the US, but once they get here and start having children here, it's then a different story. It's not about the children, it's about using those kids to be able to stay in the US. They are asking for "Five year renewable visas" for the parents. In my opinion that's just another way of trying to get amnesty for the illegals.

I fully agree. You read all the time about illegals who have left children at home.

Let's put it in perspective. It's not the children they don't want to be separated from. it's the American greenbacks!

If you are in the United States Illegally and you have either brought children with you or you have children while you are here child endangerment should be added to the charges if you are caught, making it impossile for you to EVER become a US citizen !

It is not citizens responsibility when Illegal Aliens are arrested. It is totally the responsibility of the Criminal Aliens and they need to be held responsible !!

Great posts cayla99--awsome argument. Agree with you 110%.

Incidently have you heard about the Senate Democratic Hispanic Task Force ? It's co-chaired by Senators Robert Menendez (NJ) and Ken Salazar (CO).

But a country that aspires, as its core educational goal, to not leave any child behind
"to not leave any child behind"--Depends on how one interpretes it--the program's name is ironic and should serve also as a warning: i.e. illegals do not leave your child behind in the U.S. when you are deported.

Anchor babies are not U.S. citizens.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon claims jurisdiction over all Mexicans, including anchor babies.
In his state of the union address to the Mexican nation, Mexican President Felipe Calderon stated: "I have said that Mexico does not stop at its border, that wherever there is a Mexican, there is Mexico. And, for this reason, the government action on behalf of our countrymen is guided by principles, for the defense and protection of their rights."

la raza, lulac, maldef and the dozens of other anti-American groups wait for, and even encourage illegals to cross the border before they give them help.

All those groups would be much more effective in Mexico to give them help BEFORE anything bad happens.

Take the fight to Mexico and stop ruining my country just to fulfill your agenda Salinas!

The 30 million illegals here plus all their support groups could change Mexico overnight if they went back home.

Lets not forget the Mexican consulates in the US where the illegal Mexicans can get their Mexican passports.

If hey have to go the the Mexican consulate to obtain their legal ID, they are not under the jurisdiction of the United States! That rule extends to any children born to those that are under the jurisdiction of the Mexican consulate!
