Explain to the contractor when hiring them that for legal reasons all of their workers MUST be legal citizens/aliens if they wish to do work on your property.

Tell them to make sure everyone brings a photocopy in additon to their original identification. Then photograph everyone before they start work holding up their ID and the photocopy.

Pull 5 random workers and have the contractor call the SSN Verification Line. Explain right in the beginning that not completing these steps sucessfully will forefit the job and they will not get paid.

Guess I gotta grow some , coz being that forceful isn't easy unless I'm mad. But, wouldn't be mad if I was more forceful and demanding.

I was once the biggest doormat in Texas. Trust me, you can toughen up. Here's the trick, just do it! I tell myself the "first (time) is the worst" then I charge right in. Also, if people don't like what you have to say, it's their baggage, not yours.

I lease a house from a management company. They sent over some illegals to do some repairs, (without notice). One could speak broken English. I ask who sent them and he gave the management co, name. Then I said that I had`nt received a 24hr notice as the law states, he started to say something but before he finished I ask to see their green cards, they stood there looking stupid so I ask if they were illegal, he said yes and I pointed toward the road.
They took off running and I reported the management Company to www.WeHireAlians.com. You can report businesses that hire illegals to this site
and they will be investigated. There are pages and pages of sell out businesses and also patriotic businesses on this web site.
