courant dot com What About Duncan Hunter?
What About Duncan Hunter?
January 4, 2008
The Courant missed a Republican candidate for president during its front-page profile news series ["Defining Moments"] and its editorial series [Dec. 31, Jan. 2, "Countdown To Iowa"]. That candidate is Rep. Duncan Hunter, from the San Diego area of California.
Hunter has a solid and consistent record of achievement and service since he was first elected to Congress in 1980. A Vietnam war veteran, his family has a strong military heritage. He is a man of courage and integrity who is willing to tell the truth, even if it isn't politically correct. He's not a fly-by-night, one-issue or offbeat candidate.
In our republic, the role of the media is to provide information to the citizens, so they can select their leaders and help to decide the direction of our country. The media should not be choosing our leaders for us. The voters should be informed about all the candidates; then they can decide who will win. If The Courant can provide information about low-polling Democratic candidates (such as Joseph Biden, Bill Richardson, Chris Dodd and Dennis Kucinich), then it can do so for Duncan Hunter. His website is www.gohunter08.com.
When the voters know about all the candidates, then they can decide for themselves who should lead our country.

I think this needs to start happening more and more all across the U.S. It's going to take a write-in campaign for the media to realize they cover all politicians no matter what level they are running for.
Remember to look at those who are representing you at local and State levels, too! They are just as important as those who are running for any office in DC.From the Border Movie:
I will not sell my country out ~ I WILL NOT!
I'd like to see that pride back in AMERICA!!!

I emailed my senator Saxby Chambliss about how America needs laws that doesn't allow the media to not include any candidate during general election campaigns, or any debates. I have heard absolutely nothing so far from him, after 3 months.

I am totally MAD that ABC had elected to exclude Duncan Hunter in Sunday's debates. The media should not have this power AND THAT IS EXACTLY what it is, POWER to make Duncan Hunter dissapear.
Does anybody know who to call or a phone number at ABC to RANT???"The founder's version: In Article I, Sect. 8, only Congress has the power to declare war, "War Powers Act" ...unless it is in the absolute bona fide defense of this country's borders."

Maybe if Duncan would have crawled up the ass of the CFR, he could have gotten ALL that corporate money like Huckabee, Clinton, Edwards and others. That shows me he is an HONEST man, a man with Principals. The MSM will never back a man like Hunter, Tancredo because they are REAL!

You're right, CFR membership does seem to impove a candidates potential for success on the campaign trail. I'm sure CFR endorsement goes a long way in filling the campaign coffers with the necessary campaign funds required for a viable run.
It always has.
It bothers me that the media, and the parties decide who gets on the ballots, who gets in the debates, etc. It is a controlled election - we no longer have even a semblence of free elections in this country.
It is despicable the way they try to marginalize or ignore candidates that don't fit into their agenda.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
