I know a lot of people support term limits. But I'm not there yet. This would mean Jeff Sessions wouldn't be in the US Senate. It means Steve King and many others of our friends wouldn't be in the US House of Representatives.

Why would Republicans who control the House, the Senate and soon the White House want a change a thing there except a couple of people like Paul Ryan?

I know Donald Trump proposed this, it was one of his ideas I'm not crazy about. Maybe there should be some limit but 6 years in the US House of Representatives isn't right. That wouldn't even keep Representatives who rode in on Trump's election in the House for his two terms or existing Representatives that helped him to win.

6 years in the House isn't right. Maybe 6 terms, that's 12 years, equal to the 12 years of 2 terms in the Senate.

I'm just not sure about this one.

Look at Paul Ryan, if Paul Ryan wasn't Speaker of the House, we wouldn't even be talking about him. It wasn't voters who did that, it was members of the House, House Republicans. This is a problem they can solve without our having to mess with the US Constitution.

I'm just not comfortable with it yet. Afraid I guess. The Founders were really really smart people and I don't see the wisdom in limiting terms of freely elected people when we won't even enforce the natural born citizen clause of the US Constitution.
