    Durbin speaking in opposition to Vitter's Amendment -

    "Why would any city want to cut-off these funds?"

    "He is threatening Federal funds these cities are using to fight violent crime, why?"

    "His amend. will cut off funding for Chcago, Evanston, etc. - it's not right"

    (etc, etc). 8:52am PT.

    Gogo: I think the bill the amend is attached to is HR 3093 - the CJS bill.
